The recipient of the "TEL Master Inventor" award in 2026, the highest honor in the Tokyo Electron (TEL) Group's inventor recognition program, speaks about development and "the reality of patents and development." ✅ Because development is often associated with groundbreaking ideas, patents tend to be seen as "a means of announcing an idea," but patents are rights that protect a business. ✅ Rather than just a flashy home run, steadily building up rights through small improvements—a collaborative system between intellectual property and engineers creates "strong patents" and leads to the development of the next generation. He also mentions that after joining TEL, he gained firsthand experience of the differences between academic research and practical work by obtaining his doctorate while working. ▶️ Read the full article: Creating Strong Patents to Protect Our Business Yohei Yamazawa, TEL Master Inventor 2026 https://lnkd.in/g8D8X2nC

  • We hired 22,000 new employees! They’re early risers, AND work weekends. (They’re bees.) 🐝🐝🐝 Our Aloclek campus recently welcomed a new hive as part of an effort to support local biodiversity while creating new opportunities for employees to connect with nature. Pollinators are responsible for helping grow much of the food we eat and keeping ecosystems healthy. By giving them a home, we’re making a small investment that can have a lasting impact on the surrounding environment. It’s a small addition with a meaningful purpose, and we’re excited to watch the colony grow. 🍯
