Tangible AI Series 3 - API/MCP's Earlier this year, API requests to Turno started climbing. I expected that to be an enterprise story, larger operators with dedicated technical teams wanting deep integrations. I was mostly wrong. A growing number of these requests came from small to mid-sized operators. And they weren't asking us to build something new. They were asking if AI could plug into the data Turno already had and work it the way they needed. It feels like part of a broader shift. For years, software meant learning an interface: menus, dashboards, clicking through screens to get an answer. Now a growing number of operators want to ask their data a question and get a workflow back. The interface isn't going away, but it may not be the only way in for much longer. What makes this interesting for Turno specifically is what sits underneath the product. Service provider software/apps adopted by hundreds of thousands of cleaners and maintenance professionals. The ability to find and connect with vetted, trusted pros through the Turno Maretplace. Payment rails that are reliable and regulated, not stitched together after the fact. That kind of infrastructure takes real time to earn, and it's not something that is easily replicated. AI may be giving us a new way to put it to work. So I tested it myself. I connected AI to a set of test accounts to see what was possible, and features customers had been requesting for months, specific, one-off custom workflows, were working in minutes. We brought it to real customers next, including some at churn risk, and demoed it live. The response suggested we were onto something. Customers who'd been considering leaving suddenly had a path to build a workflow closer to what they envisioned for their business needs (that also did not exist in any other software ecosystem), on infrastructure they already trusted. That momentum is starting to show up in the numbers. API activations are growing over 50% month over month and growing. This doesn't change our roadmap. If fact we are building and shipping more native features than ever; that foundation isn't going anywhere. What AI seems to add is a second path. A growing number of operators no longer have to wait for a specific feature to reach the roadmap to get real value out of their data. They can start building toward it now, on the Turno infrastructure that took years to earn. That's the tangible outcome worth watching. Not AI for its own sake, but AI turning years of hard, unglamorous infrastructure work into something more that operators can shape and use for themselves.
