We just shipped a new feature to Hive Console that makes federation deployments a lot safer. 🎉 One of the biggest challenges in federation is managing schema changes across environments and recovering quickly when something goes wrong. The latest update to Hive Console introduces schema promotions and rollbacks, giving platform teams much more control over how supergraph changes move through their deployment pipeline. For organizations running large federated GraphQL architectures, this significantly reduces deployment risk and increases confidence in release workflows. ✅ Promote schema versions between environments - Move a composed supergraph from staging to production without republishing subgraphs. - Ensure consistency across environments by promoting the exact same schema version. - Perform risky subgraph changes in a lower environment, then promote the latest valid supergraph version to higher environments. ✅ Instant rollbacks: - Recover from problematic deployments without removing or republishing subgraphs. ✅ Better visibility into changes - New subgraph-level changelogs make it easier to understand what changed between versions. - Supergraph changelogs now provide deeper insight into composed schema evolution. We’re shipping 🚀 Coprocessors are now available in Hive Router - a language-agnostic way to extend and customize the router without maintaining a custom binary.
