Temu has entered into a cooperation agreement with Recser Oy, the Finnish battery producer responsibility organization (PRO), to support sellers in meeting Battery Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements in Finland. Under this framework, Temu helps sellers manage key obligations by facilitating seller registration, battery declarations, and recycling fee payments, offering them an efficient way to comply with Finland's producer responsibility framework. Through this initiative, participating sellers connect directly with Finland's established battery collection and recycling system, ensuring that batteries placed on the market are managed responsibly throughout their lifecycle. This partnership marks another step forward in Temu's ongoing commitment to environmental compliance across the European Union. To date, Temu has partnered with more than 60 approved PROs throughout the EU, spanning product categories such as packaging, batteries, waste electrical and electronic equipment, and textiles, helping sellers meet local environmental regulations efficiently.

Temu has expanded its compliance partnership with Zaļā josta, the Latvian producer responsibility system company, to support sellers with Textile Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance in Latvia. Building upon our initial cooperation established in April, which successfully covered EPR requirements for packaging and waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), this extended framework ensures that textile products placed on the Latvian market through Temu are managed responsibly. Through this partnership, sellers on Temu contribute directly to Latvia's localized textile collection and management infrastructure, supporting the sorting, reuse, and recycling of goods at the end of their lifecycle. This milestone aligns with Temu's broader commitment to environmental compliance and sustainable market practices across the European Union. To date, Temu has established partnerships with more than 60 licensed producer responsibility organizations throughout the EU, helping sellers comply with the obligations of the extended producer responsibility system and support local collection and recycling systems.

Temu has expanded its collaboration with CODICI Centro per i diritti del Cittadino under VER.O – Verifica l’Originale, a national anti-counterfeiting initiative funded by Italy’s Ministry of Business and Made in Italy. As the first e-commerce marketplace participating in the VER.O framework, Temu will work with CODICI to make it easier for consumers to flag products they suspect may be non-authentic or non-compliant. Under the initiative, consumer reports submitted through CODICI’s digital tools will be routed through dedicated, fast-tracked channels with participating partners like Temu, supporting a more structured and efficient review of relevant cases. The collaboration will also include practical consumer education, helping shoppers better recognize potential risks, understand how to submit reports, and access support through CODICI’s established consumer channels.
