TEDU is expanding into South Africa. 🚀 We've signed a distribution partnership with CTI Serv, a South African edtech provider with six years of deployments across the region. They'll handle distribution, implementation, and ongoing support for our Learning Support System throughout South Africa and the wider African region, joining our partners in Latin America, the Middle East, and North Africa. Here's why this market matters. African governments, universities, and investors are committing billions to higher education. New campuses, more enrollment, bigger ambitions. But enrollment only converts to graduation when students get academic support, and the retention research on this is unambiguous. At most institutions, that support still assumes a student can physically reach campus. Across a region where universities run multiple campuses and serve large remote populations, that assumption breaks constantly. When campus access goes, tutoring stops. Supplemental instruction stops. Coaching stops. The programs disappear. The students don't. TEDU was built so support travels with the student. Scheduling, live video, content sharing, and engagement tracking in one platform, accessible from anywhere. A student logging in from home gets the same quality of help as one walking into a campus center. CTI Serv has the regional relationships to put this in front of the institutions that need it. #TEDU #Highereducation #Edtech

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the Big 10 Learning Support Alliance Conference in Pennsylvania, and I'm feeling incredibly grateful for the experience. One of the highlights was connecting with teams across the Big Ten who share a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and student success. It was inspiring to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and see the creative ways institutions are approaching learning support and academic success. We also had the chance to tour several learning centers at Penn State and experience their beautiful campus firsthand. Seeing the work being done there and the spaces designed to support students provided valuable insights and inspiration to bring back to our own work. Thank you to the organizers, hosts, and everyone who contributed to such a meaningful and engaging conference. I'm grateful to have been part of these conversations and to be connected with a community that continues to push the field forward through partnership, curiosity, and innovation. #Big10 #studentsuccess

What does academic support actually buy a university? At a large institutional partner of ours, the answer across two-and-a-half years of operational data: ~255 students retained who would have otherwise left, ~$1.82M in protected tuition revenue annually ~$4.55M in projected lifetime tuition value. Our partner recently completed a multi-term analysis of TEDU's LSS impact on their campus. Eight academic terms covering 6,854 unique students, 18,341 sessions, and 32,833 hours delivered across four service lines: a Tutoring Center, Supplemental Instruction, Writing Support, and Academic Coaching. The retention signal is consistent. Students with 3+ sessions retained at 92.4% (Fall '24 → Spring '25) and 93.1% (Fall '25 → Spring '26) compared to non-participants who retained at 81.2% and 81.4% in the same windows. That's an 11+ percentage point gap on both fall-to-spring transitions and a separate 10.9 pp gap on the optional summer-enrollment signal (engaged students choosing to continue even when continuation isn't required.) What that translates to in protected tuition revenue: ~$1.82M per year, calculated on a blended tuition + mandatory fees basis ~$4.55M in projected lifetime tuition value, assuming a typical ~2.5 years of remaining enrollment for a retained student 40% of program participants were first-generation. The platform is reaching the populations most in need of support, and they're showing up: 25% engage 6+ times in a single term. We don't claim the lift is purely causal. Selection effects exist, and our partner's analytics team was rigorous about saying so. But the dose-response pattern is consistent: every additional engagement tier corresponds to incremental retention. Retention isn't a slogan. It's the academic, financial, and human ROI of every student who stays. Grateful for the partnerships with our amazing universities! 🚀 #HigherEducation #StudentSuccess #Retention #EdTech #FirstGenStudents

Egypt needs 65 new universities by 2030 just to keep up with enrollment demand. That's not a projection from an optimistic think tank. It's from a Colliers market analysis of a country with 3.76 million students in higher education today and 5 million expected by the end of the decade. We just signed a distribution partnership with Access-Tech Egypt to bring TEDU's Learning Support System to universities across the region. They already have deep relationships across Egypt's university landscape through their work with Canvas. They know the institutions, the procurement process, and what's missing inside the academic support stack. You can't build 65 universities overnight. But you can make the support infrastructure inside existing institutions work harder right now. Tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic coaching and more still run on disconnected tools that mostly require students to be physically on campus. When a student can't get there, the support vanishes. TEDU was built so it doesn't. Scheduling, live video sessions, content sharing, engagement tracking, across all support modalities, on one platform, accessible from anywhere.

🎉 🚀 TEDU has signed a distribution partnership with Edutech Middle East to bring our Learning Support System to universities across the Middle East and North Africa. Edutech is a UAE-based edtech distributor that's been working with universities in the Gulf since 1991. They'll handle regional distribution, implementation, and ongoing support for our campus partners across the MENA region. The Gulf is investing heavily in higher education. The UAE posted record university admissions last year, up 13% in a single cycle. Dubai committed $1.2 billion to build a new national university. Across the GCC, 282 institutions now serve 1.79 million students, and that number keeps growing. But here's what doesn't get talked about enough: across the broader MENA region, access to academic support still primarily depends on a student being physically present on campus. That's a fragile assumption in a region where distance, infrastructure gaps, and instability can cut off campus access without warning. When it happens, tutoring stops. Writing support stops. Academic coaching stops. The programs disappear. The students don't. TEDU was built so academic support travels with the student. Scheduling, live video sessions, content sharing, student engagement, impact tracking, workshops -- all inside one platform, accessible from anywhere. Not as a contingency. As the default architecture. #highereducation #GCC #students

TEDU has signed its first Latin American distribution partnership! 👏 Aulanexo, an Argentine based edtech distributor and certified Instructure Channel Partner, will be representing our Learning Support System to universities across the region. Why the timing matters: Latin America now has nearly 31 million university students, up 32% in the last decade. But only about half of students who enroll actually finish their degree, compared to 67% in the United States. The region is getting students in the door. It's losing them before they graduate. Academic support is one of the most proven levers for retention, and almost none of it is running on purpose-built infrastructure. Tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic coaching -- still managed through disconnected tools with no shared data. This adds to our existing international partnerships in the Middle East and North Africa, with full Spanish and Portuguese localization planned.

Students who complete 3+ academic support sessions persist at 96.1%. That's up to 15 percentage points above students who don't engage. We've been studying what happens when universities replace fragmented tutoring tools with a unified infrastrcture. The pattern is consistent: deeper engagement produces measurably higher retention. Not because students are mandated to use it. Because they choose to. A few things we're seeing across partner institutions: 5.2 avg sessions per student per Fall term (industry average is 1-3) 33% lower no-show rates than sector benchmarks 84% drop-in capacity utilization (most institutions run under 60%) 59% of students return for multiple sessions voluntarily The dose-response relationship holds across public and private institutions of different sizes. Each additional session tier produces higher persistence. It compounds. Academic support isn't a cost center. It's retention infrastructure. If your institution is measuring sessions but not outcomes, that's the gap.

Our partnership with ICSI, one of the most respected student support accreditation bodies in academia, has been one of the most rewarding parts of building TEDU. Institutions in their network get full access to our Learning Support System along with a range of partner benefits, and the results we’re seeing across campuses speak for themselves.

TEDU's Learning Support System is a next-generation student support infrastructure for higher education. The platform unifies every academic support program, including supplemental instruction, tutoring, writing studios, academic coaching, workshops, and study groups, into a single system that replaces fragmented, decades-old processes. Students get a personalized gateway to every resource available to them. Administrators get real-time engagement data to measure what's working, identify where students are falling through the cracks, and make smarter decisions about how support is delivered across campuses. TEDU is the exclusive and proud technology partner of the International Center for Supplemental Instruction (ICSI). Learn more at tedulearning.com.

Hot take: a metric that matters most in academic support isn't just how many students show up. It's how many come back. A student who books one tutoring session might just be checking a box. But a student who comes back 3, 4, 5 times? That's not obligation. That's a habit. And we're watching it happen in real time across our university partners: → One partner went from 2.7 avg sessions/student to 3.8 (same semester, year over year) → Another partner's campus saw sessions per active student jump 14% between their first and second terms on the platform When academic support is easy to find, easy to book, and actually works, students stop treating it like the emergency room and start treating it like the gym. That's the shift. From "I'm failing and I need help" to "this is just part of how I study now." Crisis support → academic habit. That's where the real outcomes live. 💡 #HigherEd #StudentSuccess #EdTech #AcademicSupport #TutoringServices #StudentRetention

Universities know the no-show problem well. Students book appointments but don't show up, tying up tutor time, pulling administrator attention, and blocking slots that other students could have used. According to TutorBase data from more than 700 tutoring centers, the industry standard for peer tutoring no-shows sits around 13.5%. Across TEDU's platform, our no-show rate runs at roughly 9.4%. That's about 31% lower than the benchmark. Scaled across hundreds of thousands of booked appointments, that gap translates to a lot of sessions that actually happened instead of empty chairs. Why? When all university-provided academic support lives on one platform (scheduling, engagement, data, reporting, and more), students actually use it. They follow through. Technology doesn't just track engagement. It drives it. #StudentEngagement #HigherEd #DataDriven #EdTech #TEDU
