Another year, another reason to dig out the trainers and see who's been secretly training. 👟 Our third annual Summer Sports Day and BBQ – and our first as a fully independent organisation – brought together the full TalkTalk Business team for a day of competition in the sun. Egg and spoon, relay races, tug of war, three-legged races. And nobody escaped the inflatable obstacle course. All tackled with great enthusiasm and mixed results. 🏅 It was also a special one this year, with our new colleagues from Planet IT🌍 joining us for their first TalkTalk Business Sports Day. Brilliant to see them throw themselves into the day – exactly the kind of occasion that brings people together beyond the day job. We rounded things off with a BBQ and some well-earned drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed The Big Goal's Gala Dinner last Thursday, which celebrated 11 years of the Street Soccer Foundation supporting disadvantaged young people through the power of football. It was a privilege to share the room with business leaders, sponsors and partners from across the UK, all united in raising crucial funds to help eradicate youth homelessness. We're proud to be involved in The Big Goal campaign, and excited to be paired with Salford City and Foundation 92, sponsoring up to 10 places for local young people on the Street Soccer Academy. It was a pleasure to join so many public sector organisations in celebrating Socitm’s 40th anniversary at the President’s Conference 2026 this week.
