It's amazing how a few simple words can stay with you.
Today, my founders handed me a pen with a note that read:
"Your work makes a difference."
Those words instantly took me back to my early months in sales.
Like many people starting out, I believed success in sales was all about hitting targets and chasing numbers. But the more I focused on the numbers, the more pressure I put on myself—and the results weren't what I wanted.
Then, during a one-on-one with team, they shared something that completely changed my perspective:
"Let's forget the numbers. Focus on the customer. Take it one customer at a time."
That simple shift in mindset changed everything.
Instead of chasing targets, I started focusing on creating value for every customer I spoke with. Ironically, when I stopped obsessing over the numbers, I began consistently exceeding them—with far less pressure and far more confidence.
Today's thoughtful gift, along with that heartfelt note, reminded me of this journey. It's a reminder that meaningful work doesn't go unnoticed. The effort we put in every day, often behind the scenes, is seen, appreciated, and valued.
I'm truly grateful to my founders for this thoughtful gesture and for building a culture where people feel recognized not just for the outcomes they achieve, but for the impact they create.
Thank you for your trust, your encouragement, and for constantly reminding me that when we focus on people, the numbers have a way of taking care of themselves.
