PFAS, often known as “forever chemicals”, are an increasing focus in global water quality due to their persistence in the environment and potential health concerns. For investors, this is a growing structural trend: regulation is tightening, consumer awareness is rising, and demand is increasing for solutions that can help reduce exposure through improved drinking water quality at the point of use. PFAS are difficult to remove using conventional filtration, which is driving innovation in advanced water treatment technologies. At Strix, we continue to invest in solutions that support cleaner, safer drinking water, including technologies designed to address emerging contaminants such as PFAS. Did you know all of Strix’s continuing operations are carbon neutral? We use renewable energy, internal solar generation, and have made efficiency improvements, which have completely eliminated Scope 2 emissions and reduced Scope 1 emissions by 5.6%. Scope 3 remains our largest challenge, driven mainly by ‘in-use’ emissions from boiling water. While grid decarbonisation is progressing at different rates globally, we continue to focus on supply chain initiatives and operational efficiency to support our net zero by 2050 pathway.
