Construction is moving full speed ahead at the Waller Creek Center! Our team is making excellent progress on the 10th floor renovation for Austin Water. Every milestone brings us one step closer to delivering a refreshed, efficient workspace that will support the City's mission for years to come. We're hiring an estimator! Send your resume to Resumes@STRConstructors.com This is a full-time, on-site role for a Commercial Construction Estimator based in Round Rock. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role also involves reviewing project specifications, identifying potential risks, and working closely with project managers, architects, and clients to achieve project objectives. Qualifications: •Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis specific to commercial construction projects •Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and blueprints •Experience with project management and coordination between stakeholders •Familiarity with construction estimating software and tools •Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills •Excellent communication and negotiation abilities •Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field •Relevant work experience in commercial construction estimating is highly preferred •Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Texas •Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet tight deadlines

STR Constructors is excited to announce the award of a new project with Pflugerville ISD at Connally High School! This summer modernization project will enhance the campus through restroom renovations and the installation of new energy-efficient windows, creating an improved learning environment for students, faculty, and staff. We are honored to continue supporting local schools and investing in the future of our communities through quality construction and thoughtful facility improvements. We are proud to share that the City of Austin Domestic Violence Shelter project has been featured as a case study by Austin Energy Green Building. STR Constructors was the General Contractor that finished this project last summer. This adaptive reuse project transformed a former motel into a 40-room shelter that provides safety, stability, and a path forward for its residents. Through a strong partnership with Austin Public Health, SAFE Alliance, and the design team, the project integrates trauma-informed design with meaningful sustainable strategies. Achieving a 3-Star Austin Energy Green Building rating was a significant milestone, especially given the constraints of the existing structure. The project highlights include: • Reuse of the existing building to reduce embodied carbon • Low and zero VOC materials for healthier indoor environments • High-efficiency systems and ENERGY STAR appliances • Native landscaping and resilient site design • 60% construction waste diversion This recognition reflects the commitment of the entire team to building responsibly while creating spaces that truly support the community.
