  • Happy 2-year Work Anniversary, Shannon Hubbard! Two years ago, Shannon joined Spur ready to learn something completely new, and since then she's continued to grow with every project, every challenge, and every opportunity that's come her way. Starting a career in ICT isn't easy, but Shannon has approached it with patience, determination, and a genuine desire to improve. She's never hesitated to ask questions, seek guidance, or put in the effort to better understand the work. That mindset has helped her build a strong foundation and makes her someone we know will continue to grow in this profession. Just as important, Shannon is someone people enjoy working with. She's dependable, brings a positive attitude to the team, and is always willing to help wherever she can. Her willingness to learn and support those around her makes her a valuable part of our department and our culture at Spur. Watching Shannon's confidence and skills develop over the past two years has been rewarding, and we're excited to see where her career takes her from here. Congratulations on your two-year anniversary, Shannon! Thank you for everything you've contributed so far, and here's to many more years of growth and success at Spur.

By reimagining the Friendship House as a new 11,000-square-foot, two-story facility, our team created a modern environment that better supports Veterans while meeting current life safety and accessibility standards. The new design includes residential living spaces, a commercial kitchen, accommodations for 24 residents, storage and warehouse space, and welcoming common areas that enhance both functionality and quality of life. The result is a safe, efficient facility designed to better serve Veterans for years to come. Read more about this project on our website at the link in our bio!

Today we celebrate Dakota Ross 3-year anniversary here at Spur! Over the past year, Dakota has been the driving force behind some of our most important technology work: - Building our CMMC Level 2 enclave. Dakota has stood up the bulk of our CMMC Level 2 environment in the government cloud, configuring and deploying most of the core architecture, systems, connectors, and controls that make our secure enclave possible. - Building resilient infrastructure. From our Panzura cloud file system and secure AWS routing to Intune app deployments, Dakota consistently finds the right, secure way to get things done. - Staying a step ahead. Whether proactively deploying new endpoint protection after reading about a breach or investigating suspicious network activity and locking down sensitive data, Dakota takes the initiative to keep us safe before problems find us. - Showing up for the team. Beyond the big projects, Dakota is the steady hand solving day-to-day issues, helping colleagues, and keeping everyone in the loop. Looking forward to another year of great work Dakota!

  • We hope everyone had a meaningful Memorial Day weekend. As we wrap up this weekend, we're reflecting on the values that guide both our company and our country: service, sacrifice, and a commitment to something greater than ourselves. Today, we honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation and the legacy they leave behind. Thank you for your sacrifice.
