An afternoon dedicated to learning while keeping it fun 🎾 A big thanks to all the MedComms professionals who took time from their busy schedules yesterday to join us in Manchester for 'Medical Education Reimagined'. The energy was there, the conversations were real, and the challenges too. The best part? Everyone in the room actually cares about what better HCP education means for patients at the end of the line. After the sessions, we headed to The Pollen Club for Wimbledon-themed networking drinks. Padel rackets came out. It got competitive, as you can imagine 👀 More events like this one coming soon, ping us if you'd like to join the next one!

We're excited to welcome Phil Blackmore as moderator at ‘Medical Education Reimagined’ - a MedComms-focused event we’re co-hosting with IMPACCT in #Manchester on 9 July. Phil brings three things to this conversation that are hard to find in one person: 👉🏽 He's been researching how younger HCP generations consume medical information and what that means for how we design education programs. The findings are uncomfortable for anyone still relying on the same formats they used 10 years ago. 👉🏽 He judges healthcare communications awards across multiple industry bodies, which means he's seen countless real-world programs up close: what wins, what looks good on paper but changes nothing in practice, and what gets quietly killed before it ever reaches a delegate. 👉🏽 And he's lived the compliance side firsthand, running programs through review processes that would make most people give up. He will share the realities of dealing with roadblocks and his experience overcoming them. Phil will be challenging our speakers on the day and keeping the conversation honest about what's actually achievable. Make sure to secure your seat! 📣 Our life sciences team at Onomi is hosting an afternoon for #MedComms professionals in Manchester on 9 July! This intimate, hands-on event with IMPACCT will work through how to use production, technology, and staging to make HCP learning actually land. How to get faculty and compliance on board. And how to measure whether it worked. If you design or oversee HCP education events and you're based in the north, this afternoon is designed for you. No clients in the room just practical sessions, simulations built around real challenges from the room, and networking drinks in the brand new ‘Hideout’ bar on the 14th floor afterwards. 🔗 Event details and registration: https://lnkd.in/e34tqrJd Places are limited so be sure to register early and feel free to share with colleagues! Ping us if you want more info. Hope to see you in Manchester 🇬🇧

Reps aren't ignoring your next-best-action suggestions because they're lazy. They're ignoring them because the suggestions aren't good enough. Thin CRM records produce generic outputs. Generic outputs get ignored. And when reps default to instinct, the omnichannel model quietly breaks down. On June 23rd, Pierre Metrailler will sit down with David Williams (KAI Conversations) to unpack why rep enablement is a data problem, and how to fix it. They'll cover: - Why most next-best-action systems work with incomplete HCP profiles - How AI analysis of real rep-HCP conversations changes the game - How event signals from congresses and webinars make suggestions specific enough to trust 30 minutes. A real conversation about what better data looks like in practice. Save your spot: https://lnkd.in/dvdxgA5u

José Ma. Guido Avila from Sanofi shared a three-block framework for pharma GEO strategy. Measure how you rank. Optimize what you own. Influence what you don't. The order matters more than most teams realize. Almost everyone starts with block two: creating and optimizing content. Chema's argument is that block one has to come first. Before touching a single asset, you need to know how you currently rank when an HCP asks an LLM about your disease area. Most teams can't answer that. Pharma knows exactly what messages it wants to push. It has almost no idea what doctors are actually asking. The objection handler is the closest thing, and branded queries represent a fraction of total search volume. The real opportunity sits in the questions nobody is tracking yet. Get that baseline wrong and blocks two and three are built on guesswork. Pierre Metrailler and Chema unpacked all three blocks in full, including what "influencing sources you don't own" actually looks like in practice, and where scientific event content fits into the picture.
