That model is still running in c-stores everywhere in 2026 and the people paying the price are the ones clocking in at midnight. Now, AI agents can watch every camera, understand context, and act – talking someone down before they reach the door, flagging a cashier transaction that doesn't add up, connecting a pattern across locations no human would have caught.
