  • How much oil is enough? Too little fails the engine; too much wastes it. That's the core challenge behind designing optimal lubrication systems, which are critical for keeping moving parts protected and engines running smoothly, whether in aviation, automotive, or marine applications. When modeling the lubrication system for a 16-cylinder submarine diesel engine, our engineers used AxSTREAM System Simulation to determine the oil flow rate needed to keep the bearings, gears, pistons, cylinders, and camshafts adequately lubricated — without wasting oil. What #AxSTREAM delivered: ✅ Oil flow rate for proper lubrication and cooling: 0.30 kg/s ✅ A cooler design that lowers oil temperature by 5°C ✅ A realistic model supporting a future digital twin to investigate issues like pump aging, pipe clogging, and component wear AxSTREAM enables engineers to model any system and analyze how it performs under real-world conditions — for more reliable, efficient designs.     Engineering was part of Anna Vorobyova's world long before she knew the word. When she was a child, her grandfather serviced fighter aircraft, built test rigs, and would lift her onto his shoulders, pretending she was a pilot. Years later, Anna followed in his footsteps, studying the same field at the same university and carrying forward his belief that learning never stops. Today, more than a decade into her career as an Aerodynamics Engineer on SoftInWay's Compressor Team, she applies that same curiosity to everything from customer engineering studies to internal product development. What keeps her motivated hasn't changed since those days with her grandfather: every project is a chance to learn, solve a new problem, and grow as an engineer.
