Income verification alone isn't enough. That's not a knock on verifying income. It's just that trust was never a single data point. Modern fraud is built to pass single checkpoints, and when it slips through, you don't see it right away. It shows up months later as delinquencies, bad debt, and lost economic occupancy. Our CEO James Hyde says operators are asking the wrong question. It shouldn't be "Does this applicant appear to have income?" It should be "Can this applicant be trusted to pay rent?" Answering that means looking at an applicant's full trust profile, with every signal evaluated together. That's the work Snappt takes off your team's plate, so they can focus on what leasing is really about: welcoming residents home.

Congress just passed the biggest housing law in a generation. That’s real progress, and we should want it to work. The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act builds more and builds cheaper. Looser zoning, faster reviews, manufactured homes, office conversions, nearly 60 bills in one. Here's the reflex to watch: when the whole industry is cutting red tape, screening starts to look like one more piece of friction to trim, too. That’s the wrong lesson. The same affordability pressure this law addresses is what pushes some applicants to fabricate income. Weaken verification now, and you put honest applicants and operators at risk at the worst possible moment. The better answer is more paths to trust. Verification built for how people actually earn—through Connected Payroll, Bank Linking, and the income sources a standard W-2 stub misses—approves more qualified renters, including the first-time renters and nontraditional earners that this law was written to bring into the market. That's the shift. Leasing teams spend less time chasing documents and more time welcoming residents home. Read more about the law ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dy79AhQ6

Some of our favorite customer stories start with a little doubt. The Duke Metro Center came to Snappt skeptical. But as Nashville's fraud environment grew more aggressive and AI made edited documents harder to spot than ever, they needed something they could trust. Once they saw Snappt in action, the skepticism didn't last long. Today, they're not just users—they're believers.

More verification steps won't fix a trust problem. Multifamily has spent years layering checks, and fraud is still rising, good applicants are still dropping off, and leasing teams are still uncertain. The issue isn't the number of steps. It's whether the process is built on a foundation of trust. We recently published a great piece that defines what trust actually means in multifamily—for operators who need consistent, defensible decisions and for applicants who deserve a fair process. If you work in multifamily, this one's worth reading. Check it out ➡️ https://lnkd.in/ghAH2w9s

Apartmentalize 2026 reminded us why this industry is worth showing up for. We met with customers who are doing incredible work, prospects asking exactly the right questions, and peers who are just as focused on getting verification right as we are. We're grateful for every meeting, every demo, and every treat claimed at Café MyWay. Can't wait for next year 🚀

On June 16th, Snappt brought together some of the sharpest minds in multifamily at our Customer Advisory Board event in New Orleans. Operators like Greystar, ZRS Management, RPM Living, Asset Living, and nearly a dozen more, all at the table, sharing what they're seeing on the ground and helping shape where Snappt goes next. The highlight of the day was the official unveiling of VerifyMyWay, our new enhanced applicant experience that gives operators the flexibility to configure verification workflows that match the needs of their applicants, without compromising the fraud protection standards their portfolios depend on. We're grateful to our CAB members for their partnership, candid feedback, and trust. Stay tuned for an exciting announcement next month regarding our Fall CAB event!

The energy at Apartmentalize 2026 was electric, and the conversations we had reinforced something we already believed: the multifamily industry is ready for a better way to verify applicants. Seeing prospects and customers experience VerifyMyWay in real time was exactly what we hoped for. The demos generated real conversations about how verification should work and who's building the future of it. And to our existing customers who stopped by: thank you. Seeing familiar faces alongside new ones reminded us why we do what we do. See you all next year!

How many qualified applicants are dropping off because your verification process wasn't built for how they earn? Join us July 8 at 10am PT for a live webinar with Snappt's Lauren Kuchta and Megan Marley. They'll dig into why rigid, one-size-fits-all verification is costing operators more than they realize and show how VerifyMyWay automatically routes every applicant to the right verification method based on how they earn. No applicants turned away, and leasing teams get consistent results every time. Register here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gi4pW_8N
