Yesterday, Smartly Connect Singapore 2026 took place at the beautiful House of Tan Yeok Nee. The Smartly community of marketing leaders came together for a morning of conversations about reinvention and what it means for the future of marketing. Professor Laura Wynter shared thought-provoking predictions of what is beyond the hype of AI. The novelty phase of AI is over. Three horizons are opening in parallel - Sensory, Cognitive, Computational - each demanding a different move from all of us today. In a panel moderated by KMac - Kristin N. MacGregor, Shennon Ho and Sven Bally talked about moving from AI adoption to having real business impact. We also heard from Shawn Teo, the lead architect behind the mansion’s restoration, who shared the remarkable journey of bringing the House of Tan Yeok Nee back to life while honouring its heritage, identity, and craftsmanship. The strongest takeaway for me is that reinvention should never come at the expense of identity. In so many ways, it reflects the same challenge we face as marketers today: how do we reinvent for the future without losing what makes us distinctive? I am grateful to everyone who made the morning so meaningful. See you next year! 💜 #Smartly #SmartlyConnect #TheBestIsYettoBe
