It was a pleasure to share knowledge, discuss clinical cases, and explore how AI-powered objective gait analysis can support equine practice.
How can AI help improve the diagnosis of lameness in horses? At Donnington Grove Equine Hospital, part of inspiring vet care, equine vets recently welcomed colleagues for a hands-on CPD day exploring the use of Sleip – an innovative AI-powered gait analysis app that helps detect subtle movement asymmetries from smartphone videos. Led by Sleip co-founder and Associate Professor Elin Herlund, alongside our own equine specialists Giorgio Ricardi and Nicole Jones-Nelson, the day combined expert insight with practical learning, giving delegates the opportunity to use the technology on live clinical cases. As part of inspiring vet care, Donnington Grove is helping to shape the future of equine medicine by embracing innovative technologies and sharing knowledge that benefits vets, patients and the wider profession.
