I'm going out on a limb here, but I'd guess I've personally driven like, 5% of the referral traffic to this Similarweb study, "The Downstream Impact of AI Visibility." 😅 Here's why I keep sending it around: We've always positioned AI search and LLMs as additive to the search journey vs. the thing killing traditional search and this is study is excellent proof. Is there a future where AI search just is search? Probably. But for now, the takeaway is simpler: your consumer's search journey is expanding. Conversational search is a new step in it, and brands need to understand how that step impacts their influence and visibility. Search is a behavior, not a channel. So follow your audience's behavior to the right channel and start understanding the real value of showing up in different surfaces. One finding I loved, because we've seen it anecdotally too around the impact on paid search: "With over half of AI-influenced visits coming via Search brands should be looking at their (and their competitors') branded search volume and keeping a close eye on how they appear. Where there are less clicks than ever available in Search, 'stealing' branded traffic via Paid is becoming increasingly popular and driving CPCs up." A great reminder that this isn't about how one channel performs. It's about understanding how your entire discovery ecosystem is shifting. Worth the 10 min read 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/gQYHKp7Y

AI recommending your brand is more than just an "I got a good report card" moment. It has real business implications. The challenge is that they're indirect, and they don't happen in a straightforward timeline, making them notoriously difficult to measure. That's exactly the mystery our data detectives set out to solve. In our first-of-its-kind report on the Downstream Impact of AI Visibility, we reveal what actually happens after AI recommends your brand. Download it here: https://lnkd.in/egG9ghZ9
