Today at AUTONOMOUS 2026, our VP of AI & Computer Vision, Jariullah Safi, joined leaders from Shinkei Systems, QUARTER20, and Raise Robotics to discuss one of robotics’ hardest challenges: Designing teams that repeatedly ship robots at enterprise scale. Jari’s own journey reflects that philosophy. He joined Simbe as an intern and today leads the AI and computer vision organization behind one of the fastest-growing Physical AI companies in the world. When you’re building an entirely new category, there isn’t a playbook to follow. We look for people who are curious, adaptable, and eager to solve problems no one has solved before—and then give them the opportunity to grow alongside the technology they’re creating. One of the panel’s biggest themes was that production AI is fundamentally different from research AI. Great models are only the beginning—because scaling Physical AI demands engineering rigor, robust MLOps, continuous learning from millions of real-world observations, and cross-functional teams that can turn edge cases into competitive advantage. That’s how autonomous systems earn trust and transform industries.
