One of our favourite sessions at #AireFest was the discussion around AI in the NHS 🤖🏥 It was interesting to hear just how uneven adoption still is. Clinical imaging is a great example of AI being deployed at scale, and is backed by strong research and real-world evidence. In other areas, for example patient risk stratification, progress feels much slower. There was also a great discussion around the ambition for the NHS to become the world’s most AI-enabled health service by 2035. It got us thinking about how success should be measured as we move forward. It shouldn’t be about the number of AI tools in use, but whether they’re actually improving outcomes, increasing productivity and making a meaningful difference to patient care. The panel touched on some of the barriers to getting there, from scaling innovation and modernising legacy systems, to improving AI literacy and making sure projects are driven by real service needs rather than the technology itself. There was also a refreshing level of honesty about the role of suppliers. AI companies need to stop selling solutions in search of problems, while the NHS needs to become a more confident customer. None of it felt like criticism for its own sake. There was real energy in the room around solving these problems, not just naming them. The ambition is there and so is the appetite to get this right 💡 #AireFest #AireLogic #AI #TechforGood Dr Michael Odling-Smee Alwyn Kotze Lauren Harkins Damian O'Boyle Emma Raftery-Kenworthy

What would you do with an extra £150,000 to improve neighbourhood health? 🏨🩺 That was the challenge in the Neighbourhood Health Dragons’ Den at #AireFest, sparking some brilliant discussions about what local communities really need and where innovation could have the biggest impact. Earlier in the day, the conversation centred on whether we’ll achieve the 2030 ambition for a Single Patient Record and, what is needed to get there. What struck us across both sessions was how often the conversation came back to the same things. Keeping patients at the centre of design. Making better use of the data we already have to aid preventative care. Building technology around the way people actually work and receive care, rather than expecting people to adapt to the technology. Huge thanks to the judges and panellists for sharing their insights and challenging us to think differently about the future of neighbourhood health. A day spent juggling the balls of healthcare innovation… 🎪 A great day at #AireFest with thought provoking discussions on what it will take to make the Single Patient Record a success, where AI can genuinely add value and where it can’t, and why meaningful digital transformation starts with people. Themes running across sessions included keeping patients at the heart of design, making better use of data to improve care and ensuring technology supports people, rather than feeling like something that is being done to them. We really enjoyed hearing from Northpoint, AireFest’s charity partner, on the complexity of mental health pathways and getting involved in the Neighbourhood Health Dragons’ Den workshop. Now to round off the day with a BBQ in the sunshine and Lord Bethell on the decks 🌞🎧 Aire Logic Limited Emma Raftery-Kenworthy #AireFest #AireLogic #DigitalHealth #TechforGood

For the first time, every NHS acute hospital trust in England has either implemented an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, contracted for one, or is actively procuring one. This Friday, Jon Hoeksma, CEO of Future Health Intelligence and one of our Silver Buccaneers, will discuss what this means for the future of the EPR market on the launch of the 2026 English NHS Acute EPR Annual Contract Wins and Migrations Report webinar. As Jon recently said in news coverage in Healthcare Management and Health Tech World: 🗣️ "Finally reaching near 100 per cent coverage is a real achievement that deserves to be recognised and celebrated." The webinar will explore the current state of the acute EPR market, the latest contract wins and migrations, and what comes next as the NHS shifts its focus from implementation to unlocking value from digital systems. 📅 Friday 10 July at 12:30pm Register here: https://lnkd.in/eyx-n_dT #DigitalHealth #HealthTech #EPR
