In case you missed this news from the UK bakery sector 👇 Associated British Foods plc has officially completed its acquisition of Hovis Ltd Group. 🍞 The combination of Hovis and Allied Bakeries will create a single UK bakery business, Hovis Bakeries, with a stronger market position and a clear focus on long-term, sustainable profitability. The integration is set to deliver operational efficiencies across production and distribution, while also creating opportunities to invest further in brands and product innovation, particularly in growing areas of the category such as healthier options. While there will be upfront investment as part of the integration, the longer-term outlook is focused on improved profitability, greater resilience and future growth. 👏 (Source is in the comments)

Under new anti-discrimination laws due to be introduced to the UK, all employers will be required to publish salary information on job adverts. I think we're a bit late to the party with this legislation, but I'd imagine most people (myself included) will welcome the move. I've lost count of the amount of time I say or hear "it's a full time job, looking for a job..." and this simple piece of legislation means candidates waste less time applying for things that aren't suitable. Quick H1 round-up....what a first half of the year it’s been! It’s been a busy, rewarding and exciting first six months for everyone at Seven Search and Selection Ltd, with some brilliant momentum across the team.
