When you're training every weekend around operational deployments, travelling from across the UK just to get on the water — that's not a rowing crew. That's a military mindset. SecureCloud+ is proud to sponsor UK Armed Forces Rowing for another season, and 2026 has been one of their strongest yet. The year opened with a return to the Head of the River Race on the Thames, UKAF's first appearance since 2019. Over 300 domestic and international crews. The largest head race of the year. They came in 87th, and made their presence known. Since then: a training camp in Nantes covering 250 km in seven days, a fifth place finish at Wallingford Regatta, a final win at Metropolitan Regatta on Saturday, and second place on Sunday. And today, the crew take on the Thames Cup at Henley Royal Regatta. Good luck to everyone involved. Steven Mills presentation highlighted the shift from a “need to know” to a “need to share” mindset, enabled by secure digital environments that maintain classification while accelerating collaboration. He explained how a single source of truth reduces version confusion and rework across complex defence programmes, and emphasised Zero Trust security using a “hotel keycard” analogy to illustrate continuous verification without hindering productivity. He also showed how secure digital platforms enable real-time collaboration across organisations and argued that future defence programmes must be born digital, using modern tools, disciplined information management, and secure workflows to deliver faster, more flexible, mission-focused outcomes.
