Women’s Elite Rugby (WER) is proud to share a major milestone: we’ve officially closed our seed round. This marks a pivotal step forward as we move toward preseason this April and the kickoff of our 2026 season on May 2. The round includes support from several exceptional early investors — including Carolina Soccer Ventures, GG Ventures, and others — as well as a Grammy Award–winning artist whose involvement will be announced soon. With this momentum, WER is accelerating the buildout of a durable, scalable league infrastructure, expanding athlete support, and strengthening the professional pathway for women in rugby.
