𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗻-𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘 𝗥𝗲-𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 Last week in #Milan, we had the pleasure of taking part in the closing event of the LIFE Re-Shoes project together with SCARPA. An important milestone that marked the culmination of a 42-month journey dedicated to 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗱-𝗼𝗳-𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗲𝗰𝗼-𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Within the LIFE Re-Shoes project, RUBBER CONVERSION contributed to the development of 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, focusing on the 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗻𝗱-𝗼𝗳-𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗿𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. This work ran in parallel with extensive research, testing, and close collaboration across the entire value chain: from collection and recycling to design and manufacturing. ♻️👟The project unfolded through three key phases: • from the collection of worn-out shoes and material experimentation, • through the optimization of recycling processes, • to the integration of recycled rubber compounds into a new generation of shoes. The closing event in Milan was not only a moment to present results, but also to celebrate the collective effort behind them: the engineers, researchers, designers, and partners who shared a common ambition: to prove that circularity in footwear can be technically robust, industrially viable, and scalable. We are proud to have been part of this amazing journey and to have contributed our know-how to a project that turns circular economy principles into concrete, high-performance solutions.
