🌀 Meet Flow Fund Recipient Dr. Bernard Singleton! A native of New Orleans, Dr. Singleton is an Associate Professor of Biology at Dillard University. He is also Co-Founder and Research Director of the CSED Environmental Research Internship, now entering its sixth year. The program encourages underserved middle and high school students to pursue Environmental Sciences, so that they can help protect their communities from natural disasters and with recovery, as well as fight for the health of the Mississippi River and other waterways. The internship program is part of The Lower Ninth Ward Center for Sustainable Engagement and Development, which works to revitalize the Lower Ninth Ward community by creating a thriving urban landscape through environmental stewardship.
