As part of the programme, Rinicom Founder, Garik Markarian will present: “Secure Communications in Constrained Environment: Case Studies from Real Life Installations”. The presentation will explore practical challenges and lessons learned from real-world deployments, focusing on secure, resilient and reliable communications in constrained and mission-critical environments. We’re pleased to mark a key milestone on the DTUP project, as a batch of antennas is prepared for dispatch. The Deep Tube Underground Programme (DTUP), led by Transport for London, is modernising London’s deep-level Underground network, including the delivery of reliable communications in challenging underground environments. Rinicom has supported this by designing and building radio systems tailored for these conditions, as well as developing real-time display screens that provide train drivers with visibility of potential hazards approaching the platform. Following our recent updates on the YellowLine AI project, we have now published a new article providing a more in-depth look at the technology, outcomes and impact of the project. YellowLine AI has successfully delivered a RIRL 5 end-to-end prototype, demonstrating how real-time AI and existing station CCTV can help detect platform-train interface risk behaviours, such as yellow-line crossings and platform edge crowding and trigger context-aware safety announcements. Our YellowLine AI development has now been successfully completed. Following our pilot demonstration at Ribble Steam Railway, YellowLine AI delivered strong live performance, showcasing reliable real-time person detection, tracking and dynamic risk zoning around the platform edge. The system consistently visualised safety-relevant behaviours and proximity risks, providing clear, actionable outputs designed to support operational decision-making in real station environments. Importantly, we were also pleased to conduct a successful demonstration for our potential strategic partner, Fujitsu, where YellowLine AI’s capabilities were showcased in a live operational setting. We’re excited to share a major milestone for YellowLine AI, our platform-train interface (PTI) safety analytics solution is now ready for stakeholder trials. YellowLine AI turns standard platform CCTV into actionable safety insight, with real-time person detection and tracking and dynamic risk zoning around the platform edge to help teams identify and respond to unsafe proximity, crowding, and emerging PTI risks. The early results demonstrate reliable live visualisation of safety-relevant behaviour on-platform, with outputs designed to support operational decision-making and future integration into station safety workflows. Our first pilot trial is scheduled for Friday, 27 February at Ribble Train Station / Ribble Steam Railway (Chain Caul Road, Riversway, Preston, Lancashire PR2 2PD).  We are now formally opening the YellowLine AI trial programme and inviting additional end-users and stakeholders to participate. We welcome engagement from train operating companies, station operators, infrastructure managers, safety teams, accessibility and passenger representatives, and technology/integration partners.
