More patients. Fewer HCPs. A cost curve that's doubling by 2040. 💵 This is from our #Pharma Masterclass last week with Dr. Oliver Eitelwein, Partner at Oliver Wyman. By 2030, 35 people over 65 for every 100 people of working age, globally. USA hits 37% by 2030, 45% by 2050. Europe, 35% by 2030, 55% by 2050. China, 30% by 2030, 70% by 2050. Japan, 60% by 2030, 80% by 2050. Healthcare runs on people. And the people are running out. Beyond that, global healthcare spending goes from $11.8 trillion today to $23.1 trillion by 2040.
