Reconix Sponsors Thai Student Team at Global Cybersecurity Camp 2026 This week, Reconix had the opportunity to sponsor five Thai students attending Global Cybersecurity Camp (GCC) 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. GCC is an annual cybersecurity bootcamp organized by ten member countries across Asia-Pacific and Europe. Each year, the camp rotates between host nations, bringing together students from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Australia, Romania, and Thailand. This year's program included workshops on firmware analysis, binary hardening, and kernel protection bypass techniques. The group project focused on Android application security, where mixed-nationality teams were tasked with identifying vulnerabilities in real APK files and building automated security scanners from scratch. The final presentations revealed interesting differences in approach. Some teams opted for cloud-based scanning architectures, others implemented hybrid solutions combining local and remote analysis, and a few integrated LLM APIs for behavioral pattern detection. Supporting initiatives like GCC is part of our broader commitment to developing security talent in Thailand. The cybersecurity industry needs skilled practitioners, and programs that give students hands-on experience with real-world problems are essential to building that pipeline. Empowering the Next Generation of Cybersecurity Talent at CMU We at Reconix are honored to have collaborated with the IEEE Computer Society CMUTH Student Branch Chapter and the Department of Computer Engineering, Chiang Mai University, for the recent "Tech Talk EP.03: Cybersecurity Exploration Workshop." Bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world application is crucial in our industry. For this session, our Senior Penetration Tester, Darunphop, shared deep insights into the cybersecurity career path, essential certifications, and the core skills needed to succeed in the modern threat landscape. Beyond theory, we believe in learning by doing. The workshop featured intensive hands-on labs covering: - Web Security: Web Penetration Testing & SQL Injection - Tool Utilization: Mastering Burp Suite and Wireshark - Advanced Topics: Introduction to Reverse Engineering and Cryptography We hope this session sparked curiosity and provided practical skills to all the students who attended. The Reconix team was incredibly honored to collaborate with the MUICT Cybersecurity Club at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mahidol University to present a special lecture on "Introduction to Mobile Application Penetration Testing". The session was led by our Co-Founder, Weerawat P., who is also a proud alumnus (ICT Batch 13) of the faculty. It's always special to return to Mahidol University and share practical knowledge with the next generation.
