RAM's team attended the opening of the Fleetwood Reservoir, marking the completion of this important water infrastructure project. Located within Meagan Anne MacDougall Park, the project included the construction of a 13.6 ML underground water storage reservoir with dual cells, a valve control chamber, access and egress structures, system tie-ins to Metro Vancouver and the City of Surrey, and full park reinstatement following commissioning. RAM provided construction management and claims management services on behalf of the owner, supporting coordination across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural scopes, as well as project controls, reporting, commissioning support, close-out, change management, and claims processes. From design and construction to becoming part of the community, it was great to experience the Freedom Mobile Arch from a different perspective. Members of the RAM team spent an evening at the FIFA Fan Festival, enjoying the venue alongside thousands of other fans. RAM provided geotechnical engineering services throughout the project, supporting the team with subsurface investigations, geotechnical recommendations, excavation and shoring design, groundwater monitoring, utility engineering support, and construction field reviews. Congratulations to the PNE and the entire project team on creating a venue that will serve Vancouver for years to come. #Infrastructure #Vancouver #GeotechnicalEngineering #EventVenue #FIFA

It's rewarding to see another milestone reached at St. Vincent's Heather Long Term Care Home project. RAM's team is proud to have supported the project from the ground up through geotechnical engineering, from subsurface investigations and design recommendations to ongoing construction support. Looking forward to seeing the next stages come together with Scott Construction Group and the entire project team!
🏗️ Things are looking up. Literally. The St. Vincent project is climbing steadily skyward, with structural concrete work progressing floor by floor. Level 1 concrete activities are complete, Level 2 suspended slab pours are nearing completion, and the first Level 3 suspended slab pour has already been placed. Behind every pour is a coordinated effort between our structural, electrical, mechanical, and civil partners, ensuring rough-ins, embeds, and critical infrastructure are in place before the concrete trucks arrive. With strong momentum across the site, the team remains focused on maintaining schedule and delivering the next phase of work safely and efficiently. A major sewer installation in Richmond, BC, called for a different approach to excavation support. Our latest technical paper explores how RAM developed and validated an alternative excavation support approach for a major sewer installation in Richmond, BC. Faced with shallow groundwater, saturated soils, and a high-pressure gas line that prevented the use of conventional sheet pile shoring, our team designed and field-tested a chemical grouting solution to improve ground stability and reduce groundwater inflow. Through staged proof-of-concept field testing, the team evaluated the performance of chemical grouting. The observational engineering approach allowed the methodology to be refined before construction and successfully implemented under site-specific conditions. Our newest technical paper shares the project, the testing process, and the lessons learned that could help inform similar projects in the future. On June 21, National Indigenous Peoples Day invites all of us to recognize and celebrate the heritage, cultures, and immense contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada. At RAM, we mark this day not by speaking for Indigenous communities, but by encouraging our team to listen, learn, and show up with respect. As we continue to work across diverse communities and traditional territories, we recognize the importance of building relationships grounded in care, accountability, collaboration, and local understanding. National Indigenous Peoples Day is a celebration of resilience, culture, language, and contribution. We encourage everyone to take the time to honour it in a way that is meaningful to them.
