💪⚡ QA Electrical Pushes Up for a Cause ⚡💪 What an incredible effort from the QA Electrical team during this year's Push-Up Challenge! Together, our team completed an amazing 34,305 push-ups and proudly raised $2,243 for headspace, helping to support the mental health and wellbeing of young Australians 💛 This challenge was about more than just push-ups. It was about starting important conversations, supporting one another, and demonstrating the strength of our team both on and off the worksite. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated, encouraged a teammate, or helped spread awareness throughout the month. Every push-up and every dollar raised has contributed to making a real difference. Road Safety at QA Electrical At QA Electrical, safety doesn't stop when our team leaves the worksite. Inspired by National Road Safety Week which was from 17 May to 24 May, our team recently completed our Level 1 Defensive Driver Training Program, reinforcing the importance of making safe decisions every time we get behind the wheel. Road trauma remains one of Australia's leading causes of workplace fatalities. Safe Work Australia reports that vehicle incidents are the leading cause of work-related deaths in Australia by a significant margin, accounting for approximately 42% of all workplace fatalities in 2024. Our team had a great day developing practical skills and increasing awareness around: ✔ Hazard perception and risk awareness ✔ Defensive driving techniques ✔ Safe following distances and braking awareness ✔ Fatigue and distraction management ✔ Our trade vehicle safety inspections ✔ Driver attitude and decision making ✔ Practical strategies to reduce risk on the road Whether driving a company vehicle or a personal vehicle, every journey presents potential hazards. Through ongoing education and awareness, we can all play a role in creating safer roads for everyone. This National Reconciliation Week, QA Electrical stands “All In” for reconciliation. The 1967 Referendum was a defining moment in our nation’s history, with more than 90% of Australians voting ‘Yes’ to count Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the census and empowering the Australian Government to make laws for Indigenous communities. But this historic change didn’t happen overnight—it was the result of unwavering determination and collective action from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their supporters, who have always stood up and spoken out against injustice. Their strength and advocacy remind us that the journey to reconciliation and equality requires more than reflection; it calls for all of us to actively contribute. ⚡ Leading by Example: Supporting Community Through Local Sport At QA Electrical, we believe strong organisations are built on strong communities. That’s why our commitment to supporting local sport goes far beyond sponsorship — it’s about actively showing up, contributing, and helping local clubs thrive. This season, we were proud to continue our support of the Airport West St Christophers Cricket Club, alongside a dedicated group of community partners. It has been rewarding to see our presence not only on the uniforms and around the grounds, but also in the everyday moments that keep grassroots sport moving. 🏏 A highlight for us was seeing our General Manager, Adam Tobin, volunteering on the barbeque during game day — a simple but powerful reminder that leadership is about participation, service, and leading from the front.
