What if a running track could celebrate local identity? At Stade de Penvillers in Quimper, France, that's exactly what it does. This project goes beyond creating a high-performance athletics facility. Viewed from above, the track reveals both "Quimper" and "Kemper"—the city's French and Breton names—making the venue a celebration of local heritage as much as athletic performance. For Quimper Rekortan M, our high-performance track system, was chosen. Rekortan M is engineered to deliver durability, comfort and consistent performance for athletes at every level. Selected lanes also feature integrated SMART technology, providing valuable training insights and demonstrating how innovation continues to shape modern sports infrastructure. Creating space for the next generation to play and grow. At the Gustav-Walle-Mittelschule in Würzburg, a new basketball Homecourt was opened on October 1, 2025, together with the Dirk Nowitzki Stiftung and the Dallas Mavericks. Polytan delivered the court using PolyPlay SE, a sports surface developed for outdoor basketball and multi-use areas. It offers consistent playing characteristics, is highly durable, and performs reliably in all weather conditions – key for spaces that are used every day. The design in sky blue and Hertha blue, combined with integrated Dirk Nowitzki Stiftung and Dallas Mavericks logos, gives the court a clear identity while keeping the focus on play. V. is a great example of how modern sports infrastructure can combine performance and sustainability. At the centre of the project is LigaTurf Cross GT zero, our high-performance artificial turf system designed for durability, excellent playing characteristics and long-term quality. What makes a football pitch a true community hub? At Røyslimoen Idrettspark in Lillehammer, the answer goes far beyond the game itself. Home to Roterud IL, the pitch is also used daily by the neighbouring school and remains open to the wider community. From PE lessons and school breaks to training sessions and recreational play, the facility is in constant use. To support these diverse demands, the Municipality of Lillehammer invested in a new LigaTurf Trion R pitch installed on an elastic layer. As a modern non-fill system, it delivers consistent playing performance, excellent comfort and long-term durability for users of all ages. Elite performance starts long before competition day. At INSEP (Institut National du Sport, de l’Expertise et de la Performance) in Vincennes, one of France’s leading high-performance training centres, athletes require facilities that support a wide range of training demands at the highest level. To meet these requirements, Polytan France delivered a bespoke athletics facility combining Rekortan M and Tartan GOLD surfaces within a single training environment. While Tartan GOLD provides enhanced cushioning and comfort for endurance and recovery work, Rekortan M offers dynamic energy return for sprinting, technical drills and performance-focused sessions. The result is a versatile training facility that enables multiple training methods to take place efficiently in parallel, giving athletes and coaches the flexibility needed to optimise preparation and performance. In Cardiff, Fitzalan High School and Cardiff City House of Sport have come together to create a modern multi-sport environment that serves students, local clubs and the wider community alike. The project showcases how high-quality sports infrastructure can support both educational and community objectives. Featuring LigaTurf RS+, LigaTurf Legend Pro, a Rekortan BS sprint track and Poligras SuperPlay MUGAs, the facility has been designed to deliver performance, durability and versatility across a wide range of sporting activities. By combining school and community sport within one shared campus, the development maximizes facility usage, expands access to sport and creates lasting value for future generations of athletes.
