16 bridges in an urban area, mapped and inspected in record time. ⏱️ How do you inspect a massive footprint of critical infrastructure without disrupting city traffic or putting workers at risk? 🌉 Linear Projects Inspection & Monitoring - LPIM in Bogotá used drone mapping with PIX4Dmatic and PIX4Dcloud to cut bridge inspection times by 75% while keeping teams safely on the ground! More than just fast results, this digital workflow leaves the team with an objective digital database for long-term asset management. 📊📈 Read the full case study: https://lnkd.in/dxDSF8yb #AssetInspection #DigitalConstruction #CriticalInfrastructure

We recently joined forces with David B. from Horizon Sky Drone for an incredible project at the ruins of the Castillo de La Iruela in Andalusia, Spain. 🏰 🇪🇸 Documenting a historic heritage site like this is always inspiring, especially when working alongside talented partners. This was a combined project using both terrestrial and drone capture. 📱 🚁 🎬 This is just the beginning! We’re putting the finishing touches on a video to show you exactly how we did it! Stay tuned... Check out the behind-the-scenes moments from the shoot below.
#fotogrametria #modelado3D #patrimonio #jaen #dronevideos

Here’s how simple our terrestrial Gaussian splatting workflow is. 📱 1️⃣ Upload your data to PIX4Dcloud and ensure Gaussian splatting is selected. 2️⃣ Once processed, toggle the "Gaussian splat" layer on the desktop interface. ...and you get a hyper-realistic digital twin right down to the fine details and text labels, right in your browser! Try it out on your next project: https://lnkd.in/gJbGXncs

We are at the ISPRS 2026 Toronto this week, with some incredible news to share! PIX4D's own Davide Cucci, alongside co-authors Kyriaki Mouzakidou, Aurélien Brun, and Jan Skaloud, is the recipient of the highly prestigious Fritz Ackermann Award for the paper "Airborne sensor fusion: Expected accuracy and behavior of a concurrent adjustment." 💡 Out of 102 papers evaluated over five years, an expert jury chose this paper to receive the award for the best paper from 2022-2025! 🏆 🎉 ✨ At PIX4D, we are proud to contribute directly to the foundational science that drives our industry forward. 🔬 Huge congratulations to the recipients on the well-deserved recognition! 👏 Stop by Booth 410 to talk science, tech, or to say congrats in person!

This 3D capture shows the Leiwater system in Prince Albert, South Africa. The town lies in an incredibly arid region, and this vital infrastructure is an active, gravity-fed water network. 💧 Far from just a relic, this active network augments the municipal bulk water supply, routes water directly to local agriculture, and drastically relieves strain on municipal water. 🚰 How it works: 1️⃣ Gravity flow: mountain runoff feeds into concrete furrows, moving entirely without pumps or electricity. ⛰️ 2️⃣ Mechanical diversion: manually operated sluice gates (seen in the model) block and redirect the flow. ⚙️ 3️⃣ Precision scheduling: water rights are managed via a strict 24/7 time-allocation system for equitable distribution. ⏱️ Captured with PIX4Dcatch and processed in PIX4Dcloud: https://www.pix4d.com/ #3DMonday #PIX4D #AssetManagement #CriticalInfrastructure

Can smartphone scanning compete with the surveying pole? 📏 We put the traditional surveying pole head-to-head against mobile 3D scanning using PIX4Dcatch, and the results might surprise you. 📱 👀 Using an iPhone 15 Pro paired with the Emlid REACH RX RTK device, our founder, Christoph Strecha, tested both methods across multiple sites to see how mobile capture stacks up against a precisely leveled 2-meter pole. The Verdict? Both methods delivered similar standard deviations, around 1 cm in X, Y, and Z. 📊 Smartphone scanning with PIX4Dcatch achieved similar accuracy but was significantly faster and more flexible in the field. ⚡ Read the full comparison here: https://lnkd.in/dgMucC8P #PIX4D #PIX4Dcatch #Surveying

Hillshade view for DSMs in PIX4Dmatic: we’ve added hillshading to our Digital Surface Models (DSMs) to give you a much clearer view of your terrain. Instead of just adjusting opacity, you can now toggle between three simple modes to bring features into sharp, 3D focus—as shown here on our dataset of the Matterhorn. 🏔️ ▶️ Color Map: Shows elevation gradients. ▶️ Hillshading: Adds realistic light and shadow to reveal ridges and slopes. ▶️ Combined: Merges both for the ultimate high-definition terrain view. Get instant, crisp terrain depth, making it effortless to spot subtle physical features and structural details at a glance: https://lnkd.in/dSFkNq9e
