As America marks 250 years of independence, we are proud to stand alongside the builders, manufacturers, service members, and partners helping secure America’s future. At Phlow, our mission is rooted in strengthening America’s medicine supply chain and expanding domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities in support of patients, public health, and national preparedness. What we build today on American soil directly shapes America’s readiness tomorrow. Because pharmaceutical sovereignty is not a slogan. It is a national security imperative. Today, we salute the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, our veterans, and the families who stand behind them. Freedom is not free, and we are deeply grateful for those who have carried its cost. On this milestone anniversary, we celebrate American independence and the future we are building together, one rooted in progress, possibility, resilience, and shared purpose. Happy Independence Day from all of us at Phlow. #America250 #July4th #IndependenceDay

Today, we honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States. For nearly 250 years, Americans have answered the call to defend this Nation. Their sacrifice reflects the highest form of commitment to country. It is a reminder that the freedoms we depend on are not free. On Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on their courage and their service. May we never lose sight of the extraordinary sacrifices made by so many, and may we continue to honor and support the families who carry their legacy forward.

Today, Phlow announces a leadership transition that reflects the strength of what we've built and our commitment to what comes next. Tim M. Mayleben has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at Phlow. Eric Edwards, MD, PhD, our co-founder, has transitioned to Chairman Emeritus and Strategic Advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors. Eric Edwards, MD, PhD built this company on a powerful idea: that America should make its own medicines, and that advanced manufacturing and science can lead the way to restore our country's pharmaceutical sovereignty. He turned that idea into a company with world-class manufacturing operations, foundational government partnerships, and a growing commercial platform. This transition was planned, led by Eric, and shaped in close partnership with Phlow's Board of Directors. He will continue to serve on Phlow's Board of Directors and will lead MedPhlow, our subsidiary focused on developing novel essential medicine delivery solutions, as its CEO. Tim M. Mayleben has been part of the Phlow story since 2023, first on our Business Advisory Board, then on our Board of Directors, and most recently as Board Chairman. He knows our programs, our people, and the partnerships that define our work. He brings more than 25 years of executive leadership in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries, and we're confident he is the right leader for this next chapter. We're proud of what Eric built. We're energized by what Tim will lead. And we're more committed than ever to the work ahead. Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/euspsk93

On this Earth Day, Phlow, America’s B Corp-certified modern medicine manufacturer, reaffirms our commitment to a healthier future for all. As we advance pharmaceutical sovereignty and domestic medicine production in Virginia, sustainability matters. We incorporate green chemistry principles into our processes, evaluate every approach based on what is right for the molecule, and look for opportunities to reduce waste and environmental impact along the way. In the words of our Environmental Affairs Coordinator, Larson Wolfe, "Pharmaceutical manufacturing has a responsibility to the planet, not just the patient. At Phlow, we design our processes to go further: reducing waste, shortening supply chains, and proving that how you make a medicine matters as much as what you make. By going beyond environmental regulations, we are creating a standard that promotes both operational excellence and environmental stewardship." Phlow’s CEO and Co-Founder, Eric Edwards, MD, PhD, joined leaders yesterday from across government and industry in Washington, DC, at the HHS Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response Industry Summit: U.S. Medical Manufacturing Industrial Development Strategy to discuss one of the most urgent challenges facing U.S. healthcare: strengthening the domestic pharmaceutical supply chain. During yesterday's panel working session on industrial base capacity and resilience, Eric and other leaders focused on identifying critical gaps in America's domestic pharmaceutical supply chain and charting a path toward closing them. Phlow has been building that path since 2020. The ability to manufacture essential medicines on U.S. soil is not a supply chain preference. It is a public health imperative. Through programs like the Strategic Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Reserve, Phlow is working to ensure that the medicines Americans depend on are stockpiled, secure, and ready when they are needed most. We are committed to this work because the Americans who depend on a resilient medicine supply cannot afford for us not to be. #SAPIR #PharmaceuticalSovereignty #DomesticManufacturing #SupplyChainResilience #Phlow #NationalSecurity #Preparedness

Phlow is proud to congratulate Andrew J. Carpenter, Ph.D., our Chief Scientific Officer, on being named a 2026 Virginia Business C-Suite Award honoree. Great science does not happen in isolation. It happens when the right leader creates the conditions for brilliant people to do their best work. Andy has built and leads the scientific team behind Phlow's advanced small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredient development programs. Under his leadership, Phlow has attracted top-tier scientific talent to the Richmond and Petersburg region, forged workforce development partnerships that are helping grow Virginia's life sciences pipeline, and pushed the boundaries of pharmaceutical innovation to advance domestic medicine manufacturing in America. The ceremony is June 4 at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond. Congratulations to all this year's honorees. Phlow is heading to the 2026 DCAT (Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association) Global Summit in Sitges, Barcelona, this June. Phlow's Chief Information Officer, Juan Piacquadio, DBA MBA MSIT, will join industry leaders from Lonza and Thermo Fisher Scientific on stage for Session II: AI-Driven Drug Development, exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming API development and manufacturing, from early route design through commercial supply. At a time when supply chain resilience and digitalization are reshaping how pharma and biopharma companies operate, the organizations that act on these shifts now will define what resilient drug development looks like for the next decade. Juan will share how Phlow is putting AI and advanced process design to work to reduce development timelines, improve scalability, and build more predictable pathways to commercial success. Join Phlow June 10-11 in Barcelona. Phlow was honored to welcome the Joint Project Manager for CBRN Medical's Medical Countermeasures Manufacturing Optimization (MCM MFRO) team to our Petersburg Campus as part of our partnership with Capability Program Executive for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CPE CBRND) and HHS Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response. Together, we are advancing innovative API manufacturing approaches that strengthen U.S.-based supply chains, improve readiness, and help ensure the Armed Forces have reliable access to critical medical countermeasures. As threats evolve, so must the way we develop and manufacture medicines, at speed, at scale, and at home. This collaboration reflects the growing role of public–private partnerships in supporting the warfighter and reinforcing our nation’s preparedness. #CBRND #MedicalCountermeasures #WarfighterSupport #AdvancedManufacturing #NationalSecurity #SupplyChainResilience
Last month, our Joint Project Manager for CBRN Medical's Medical Countermeasures Manufacturing Optimization (MCM MFRO) team visited Phlow's facilities as part of their partnership with Phlow and the HHS Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response on Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.
