This week, we were delighted to welcome two work experience students to Pentaco. We’re proud to support the next generation by providing meaningful work experience that helps young people explore the many future career opportunities in our industry and build their confidence in the workplace environment. By opening our doors and sharing knowledge, we can inspire the future generation and strengthen our industry. One of our work experience students, Chloe Boot from Hellesdon Sixth Form said: "I have enjoyed my weeks work experience at Pentaco. I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity and learnt many new skills and software’s. I have been involved in creating many documents with Pentaco’s branding in mind. Marnie and Ollie provided comfortable and helpful support that made the experience very joyful!" We wish both students every success in their future careers and are pleased to have been part of their journey. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Norwich Forum for the Construction Industry tour of the Dyson Campus at Gresham's School in Holt.   Gresham’s Prep School will be moving to the brand new, state-of-the-art facility on the Dyson Campus, an 86 acre site offering pupils cutting-edge STEAM spaces, specialist music rooms and modern, light filled classrooms.    During the tour, there was an opportunity to see inside the existing Grade II Holt Hall building and the refurbishment works that are taking place, as well as the skeleton framework of the new extension, multi-purpose hall and music block.    The campus is scheduled to be completed before September 2027 and we look forward to visiting again in the future to see it finished.   Special thanks to Clare Cole from Gresham's School, Robert Dale at Daniel Connal Partnership, Rupert Kitchen at LSI Architects, Catherine Xavier at GUARDA Landscape Architects and Bradley Collins from Canham Consulting. Recently, our Pre-construction team visited our Snetteron project for Ansible Motion to see the progress being made on site. Now at peak activity, the M&E and dry lining teams are making significant progress throughout the internals of the building. Works are also advancing well externally too with the cladding, curtain walling and groundworks all nearing key milestones. It's great to see the project continuing to take shape as construction progresses towards completion! The Dyson Campus project for Gresham's School is progressing extremely well across all four key work areas: the existing Holt Hall refurbishment, the North Wing extension, the multi-purpose hall and the music block. Each element is advancing in line with the programme, with works being delivered to a high standard while maintaining excellent quality, safety and coordination across the project and all key stakeholders. Yesterday, pupils from Lakenheath Primary explored the power of solar energy by building their own solar-powered fans and testing them outdoors. On one of the hottest days of the year, those fans proved to be a welcome relief! Hands-on learning experiences like this helps bring an understanding of renewable energy and engineering in a way that textbooks simply can’t replicate. By encouraging problem-solving, we aim to spark curiosity and inspire young people to engage with the technologies that will shape the future. We were delighted to deliver a successful wellbeing talk to the T-Level students at Colchester Institute, focusing on the importance of mental health and the challenges young people may face during their education and when entering the workplace. We were also pleased to introduce the students to the vital work of The Lighthouse Charity Construction Industry Charity and highlight the support available to those working across the construction sector. Raising awareness of these resources is an important step in promoting positive mental health and wellbeing within the industry.
