Appreciate pv magazine USA covering the Energy Backup launch this week - a $0-down battery subscription starting at $98/month, available in 25 states, with installation, monitoring, and maintenance all included. Battery demand is here and this is how we're meeting it. https://lnkd.in/gbnGuxBB

Battery storage isn’t a niche add-on anymore. In 2023, 14% of U.S. residential solar installs included storage. By 2024, that had doubled to 28%, with Wood Mackenzie forecasting 35% in 2025. Customers are asking about backup power, and installers need a simple way to answer. Energy Backup has been in market with Palmetto partners for almost a year. Now, we’re bringing it into the spotlight. It helps partners offer home battery backup with no upfront cost, one predictable monthly payment, and service handled by Palmetto, including maintenance, repairs, replacements, and proactive monitoring for the full term. Battery demand is here and Energy Backup makes it easier to meet it. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gsna5tWN

Watching some #solar waves happen today ☀️ 🌊 Almost two months into working at Palmetto, and I'm learning something new every day. 🕶️ The #PlatformOps team got the opportunity to watch a solar install on site this morning and chat with our partners at EMPWR Solar. The talented install crew took some time to show us the ropes, and even showed some of us how to carry a panel! 💪 Eric Dowd, we're taking notes. FERC’s big decision on large load interconnection has major implications for tech companies, data centers, residential rate payers, and more. Luckily, we’ve got former FERC chair and Palmetto’s Chief Governmental Affairs Officer, Neil Chatterjee, to guide us through it all. In this week’s Policy & Energy Notes with Neil, he lays out → Why he finds FERC’s orders “elegant” → What next steps the order sets in motion → How these orders could pave the way for a more distributed grid Watch Neil’s thoughts in full below, or give them a read on our blog: https://lnkd.in/gYsVMnkc

This month for our Life at Palmetto series, it is Erica Lawrence, MBA time to shine 💫 Erica joined Palmetto because she wanted to be close to an industry that actually matters right now. In the year since, as Palmetto's digital support operations and enablement lead, she's built tools that thousands of people use every day. What keeps her here? In her words, Palmetto helps her "stay curious" and keeps her moving toward the things she cares about, personally and professionally. It's June... which means solar panels installed right now are activating at peak production. Our satisfaction data reflects that. Palmetto customers in northern states who activated in spring or summer reported NPS scores 14 points higher than those who activated in fall or winter. The panels are the same. The difference is what that first electric bill looks like. Spring and summer activators see immediate production gains. Fall and winter activators are starting during the slowest months of the year. Savings are real, but they take longer to show up. Full breakdown on the Palmetto blog: https://lnkd.in/gAM_QhTt

Heat pumps are having a moment, but adoption doesn’t happen on technology alone. Homeowners need solutions that are easier to understand, easier to access, and easier to afford. That’s what makes partnerships like this with Quilt exciting. Together, we’re helping create a simpler path to high-efficiency home comfort, with a monthly payment option starting at $117 per room through the Palmetto Comfort Plan - installation, maintenance, annual service, and extended warranty included. Thanks to CleanTechnica for covering the story and the role affordability plays in accelerating heat pump adoption: https://lnkd.in/guA77pC7
