  • Research Grid’s latest Q2 2026 update highlights continued progress across clinical research in the UK, US, Europe and China, from new treatments reaching patients to improvements in trial infrastructure. The update points to a more connected research landscape, where better data, faster approvals and stronger delivery models are helping clinical trials move from development to patient impact more efficiently. We are seeing this momentum first-hand in Oxford, with new lab space being developed across the city to support the next generation of life sciences companies.

NavLive 2.0 is here! We've just rolled out one of our biggest updates yet, including a completely redesigned front end and a brand new feature we think you're going to love called Site View. Site View gives you three synced views of your scan: a top-down floor plan, a first-person point cloud view, and the original camera images, all in one place. You can literally re-walk the scan path and see exactly what the scanner saw, making it so much easier to draw accurately and reference details after the fact. We've also introduced Point Cloud Denoising, a one-click tool that cleans up your point cloud in real time, so wall lines and joint details are sharper and easier to trace. On top of that: faster uploads, better colour accuracy, improved performance in bright sunlight, automatic face blurring, and a handful of bug fixes to make everyday scanning smoother. Take a look at the full walkthrough 👇 Questions or feedback? Add a comment below or send us a DM. We would love to hear from you. #NavLive #3DScanning #PointCloud #ConstructionTech #BIM #Surveying

  • We’re pleased to have been named Founder Friendly Fund of the Year at last night’s Enterprise Awards.

🏆 Congratulations to ScaleUp Group and our long time friend John O'Connell for hosting a brilliant event at the Enterprise Awards at Drapers Hall, another stunning historical gem in the City of London. 🙏 😍 Oxford Capital has been recognised as a 'Founder Friendly Fund'. This means a lot to us and builds on our core philosophy of #BackingFounders. We have always believed in supporting founders through their journey of building their business while ensuring they also grow with it through each phase. 📈 🤩 Great to hear so many stories of incredible scale-ups and growth. • Read our latest newsletter on Ox Tech Week by Founders & Funders and the impressive Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC) funding round. Oxford Capital was proud to be a Strategic Partner for the inaugural event, which brought together founders, investors, scientists, policymakers and industry leaders across AI, quantum, life sciences, cybersecurity, advanced manufacturing and venture capital. We cover the key moments from the week, including David Mott’s panel on financing UK innovation, our investor lunch, the Enterprise Investment Scheme Association (EISA) Ready Steady Grow event, the Women in Tech breakfast, and David’s fireside discussion with NavLive CEO Christopher Davison. The week came at a major moment for Oxford, with the city ranked #4 globally in the Z/Yen Smart Centres Index and Oxford Quantum Circuits announcing Europe’s largest private quantum computing funding round. Read the full newsletter here:

  • Proud to share that Oxford Capital participated in the £260 million Series C funding round  for Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC), the largest private quantum computing funding round ever completed in Europe. Backing co-founder Peter Leek and CEO Gerald Mullally, we are joining a brilliant international group of investors. This oversubscribed round is a powerful signal that quantum computing is moving beyond long-term potential and towards real-world commercial deployment. Founded in Oxford, OQC has established itself as one of the UK's leading deep tech companies, developing superconducting quantum computers that are already being deployed and accessed by enterprise and government customers in London, Tokyo and New York. The company is building the infrastructure required to make quantum computing accessible at scale, helping organisations tackle problems that are beyond the reach of classical computing across areas including financial services, defence and national security. The round was led by our friends at Bullhound Capital and attracted support from a strong group of institutional and strategic investors, from the likes of Invus, Mastercard, COFIDES, Oxford Science Enterprises, Rokos Capital Management, SBI Card, Chevron Technology Ventures, UTEC - The University of Tokyo Edge Capital Partners, and others.  At Oxford Capital, we look for exceptional teams turning breakthrough science into products and infrastructure with global impact. OQC is a great example of the world-class innovation emerging from the UK's deep tech ecosystem. Many congratulations to all the team on this important milestone! This is a defining moment for quantum computing. We’re moving from experiments to infrastructure, and we’re proud to be part of the journey. #BackingFounders #QuantumComputing #DeepTech #Oxford #VentureCapital #Innovation #Quantum #UKTech  https://lnkd.in/dynT47dw

🚴♀️ One of the many highlights of Ox Tech Week was the #TourdeTech cycle ride. We had the weather, the bikes, the record peloton of nearly 40 cyclists and about as much networking fun as you can have while moving along the country lanes north of Oxford. Kindly hosted by our friends at Oxford North at the iconic Red Hall. ⚡ This week has really showcased the best of Oxford - we are blessed to be part of an incredible ecosystem that is thriving. 🚴♂️ Hope to see more founders, investors and supporters of tech at the next rides this summer. We're on road bikes but the pace is steady so come and give it a go! More details at www.tourdetech.co.uk

📡 With the world's media focused on space technology this week, I am excited to see our portfolio company Archangel Lightworks announce successful trials with their TERRA-M technology. In the simplest of terms (which does not do it justice...) they have established a laser connection with satellites in low earth orbit and transferred data up and down. 🚀 What is so incredible is that the satellites are over 300 miles above the earth, travelling at 2x the speed of a bullet and are the size of a check-in bag. ⚡ Incredible!

Archangel Lightworks has successfully demonstrated data transfer between TERRA-M, the deployable Optical Ground Station, and a satellite in Low Earth Orbit.     Data was securely and rapidly transferred between the TERRA-M and a satellite in Low Earth Orbit over the course of a multi-day field trial in the Mediterranean region earlier this month. The field trials used the U.S. Space Development Agency laser communication standard and were repeated across multiple passes to prove reliability.    Space Minister Liz Lloyd said: “Archangel Lightworks is a prime example of British innovation leading the world in next-generation space technology. The successful trials of the TERRA-M show the UK is at the forefront of laser communications, developing the kind of cutting-edge products that will underpin the future of global connectivity.”    Read more in the press release linked in the comments.  UK Space Agency | Department for Science, Innovation and Technology | Dstl | UK Ministry of Defence | European Space Agency - ESA | Santander Asset Management | National Security Strategic Investment Fund (NSSIF) | Oxford Science Enterprises | Blackfinch Ventures | Oxford Capital | Silicon Roundabout Ventures
