"Numbers speak louder than words." One of my favourite citations. Heard it land hard two weeks ago at WMF, listening to Silvi Nuñez on international expansion. The number on the slide: 3x more AI visibility for translated sites (Weglot, 2026). That's a real number. But the post is the slide that came after it. Translation ≠ Localization. Most brands I talk to about going international are quietly doing the first one and calling it the second. Translate the site, run the ads in the local language, declare the market open. Then wonder why conversion doesn't follow the impressions. Silvi stacked the layers neatly: language, cultural, UX and behavioural, legal and regulatory, local visibility. Then on top of that the operational layer most decks skip entirely: payments, shipping, product catalogues, audience, competition, budget, tracking, compliance. Each layer is a market either accepting you or quietly rejecting you. None of them are translation problems. I've watched this play out across eleven markets. The version of this conversation I have with clients is almost never about language quality. It's about whether the checkout works the way a German buyer expects it to. Whether the shipping promise survives the border. Whether the product feed reflects the local catalogue. Whether someone, anywhere in the operation, has actually looked at the competitor set in that country. The 3x is real. But a translated site without the rest of the stack behind it is just a more findable disappointment in five languages. Translation is the entry ticket. Localization is the business!

  • Users don’t separate “language issues” from “product issues”.  To them, it’s all one experience. And bad experiences? They don’t get a second chance⚠️. The tricky part is that localisation problems aren’t always linguistic. You can have perfect grammar, but… ❌ Broken layouts ❌ Cut-off text ❌ Weird date formats ❌ Buttons that don’t fit ❌ Copy that is technically right, but culturally off That’s why localisation testing is so relevant. Today, smart automation catches issues at scale, while humans focus on usability, nuance, and the overall experience. Because localisation isn’t finished when the translation is done. It’s finished when everything feels seamless ✨. 📌 Swipe right for a quick localisation testing checklist.

  • Some stories are made to entertain. Others are made to inform, challenge perspectives, preserve memory, or spark conversation across borders. That’s why documentaries are built differently ⚙️. They deal with real people, real contexts, and often complex topics: History, science, politics, culture, social issues, nature, technology. And they can end up almost anywhere: 🎓 A university lecture 📺 A streaming platform 📢 A public awareness campaign 🎬 A film festival 🖼️ A museum exhibition Subtitles quietly carry a huge part of that journey: To preserve clarity and terminology, pacing, emotional tone, and credibility across languages. And sometimes, doing it well also means knowing what not to over-explain. Because subtitles shouldn’t compete with storytelling → They should quietly support it ✅ Need support for audiovisual content? Is AI translation alone enough? That’s the question I’ll be answering this week at WMF - We Make Future in Bologna. And preparing for it with the team made me realize something. I’ve always been a bit of a lone wolf. I like preparing quietly, thinking things through, and figuring things out on my own. But teamwork brings something you can’t always get on your own: perspective. This practice session helped me see what needed more context, what felt clear, and what could land better. Very grateful for the Optimational OÜ | Multilingual Solutions team and their thoughtful input🧡. Bologna, see you soon ✨ #WMF #AITranslation #Localization #MultilingualSEO

  • Attracting international visitors is only half the battle. If they can't understand your content, your museum isn't truly accessible. True multilingual accessibility means looking at the entire visitor journey, from first discovery to final checkout. It requires: ✅ Localization (not just translation) ✅Subtitling & multilingual audio ✅Accessible formats Don't let language barriers limit your museum's impact. 👇 Is your institution fully accessible? • This is exactly what it’s all about✨

Days like yesterday make me so incredibly grateful for this team.🧡 Living in a small city, remote work has been amazing for opening up opportunities I’d never usually get. But honestly? It can definitely feel a bit lonely sometimes. That’s exactly why I try to travel from time to time to meet up with my teammates (a.k.a. mis chicas🌸). Real teamwork starts with genuine human connection! When we take the time to just connect as people first, the great work flows naturally.✨ Huge shoutout to Optimational OÜ | Soluciones multilingües for backing these co-working days. Love working for a company that genuinely cares about getting the team together! (Huge miss to our long-distance teammates who couldn't make the photo!)

Very happy to share this: I’ll be speaking at WMF - We Make Future 2026 in Bologna. 🎤 My session will be part of the Search & AI stage, where we’ll explore how AI is changing the way people search, discover, and connect with information. And of course, I’ll be bringing my favorite angle into the conversation: language, culture, visibility, and the people behind every search. Because being found is important. But being understood matters just as much. 📍 Hall 28 - Stage 3 🗓 June 25th ⏰ 12:40 Really looking forward to joining such an international program around the theme Build What Matters. See you at BolognaFiere? #WMF2026 #WeMakeFuture #SearchAndAI #MultilingualSEO

  • Everyone talks about AI models🤖 . Not enough people talk about what trains them. Behind every assistant, recommendation engine, chatbot, or automation tool, there’s one key ingredient: ✨ High-quality human-labelled data✨. AI doesn’t naturally understand tone, context, intent, or cultural nuance. People teach it. That’s why human data collection and annotation play a critical role—especially in multilingual environments, where meaning can shift fast. The quality of the input directly shapes the quality of the output. And when the data is cleaner, more accurate, and context-aware, AI systems become far more reliable, useful, and scalable. • Remember the times when watching an AI dubbed video sounded painfully robotic? Well, not any more. Today, AI-assisted dubbing can: 🎙 Replicate tone and pacing well 🌍 Make content accessible in multiple languages faster 📹 Help creators and brands reuse video content globally ⏱ Cut production times compared to traditional dubbing workflows Of course, the magic isn’t just the AI. What really makes the difference is finding the sweet spot of a hybrid approach:  AI for scale and humans for nuance. Curious about what AI dubbing can do for your videos?
