Operative Experience, Inc. male and female TCCS Plus Pro simulators were in action at the recent 2026 Air Force Medic Rodeo, which took place at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico. The multi-day competition featured 18 teams testing their Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and trauma response skills in high-stress, simulated battlefield scenarios. The simulators were provided by Air National Guard bases around the US. We are delighted to announce that Prof Cristina Diaz-Navarro has officially stepped into the role of President of SESAM. Cristina brings a wealth of experience to the presidency, including her leadership of the Global Consensus Statement on Simulation-based Practice, a landmark initiative uniting 50 societies across 67 countries, and her instrumental role in the launch of the World Alliance for Healthcare Simulation (WAHS). As former Chair of our Scientific Committee, she has shaped the quality and rigour of SESAM's academic programmes, and her commitment to inclusive, evidence-informed simulation will guide the Society forward. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr Pier Luigi Ingrassia, who transitions to the role of Immediate Past President. Under Pier Luigi's leadership, SESAM has grown in global reach and influence, strengthened key partnerships, and championed innovation across our community. His dedication and vision have left a lasting mark on our Society, and we are grateful that he continues to serve on the Executive Board. Thank you, Pier Luigi, for your outstanding service.
