Use #Claude-type skills & agents, but do so in compliance with #professional #secrecy (and pay less): This is one of the features of our new release of Red Ink, our alternative AI assistant for MS Office for Windows. Key additions to Release 1.5: ➡️ Have your e-mails corrected or improved in Outlook with track changes that you can accept or reject. ➡️ Let the AI automatically build and maintain a knowledge wiki that you can use as a source for generating text or answering your questions (yes, we implemented the LLM Wiki of Andrej Karpathy, fully customizable). ➡️ We now have a connector to #Microsoft365 ("summarize my various email discussions of the last week with Peter Poe over project Alpha") ➡️ Have Word forms and table-based project templates completed automatically based on your use case or other content, including where additional lines are necessary to describe your project. ➡️ Access your prompt library within in your chatbots with one key, and more. The most fundamental change is, however, the expanded agentic platform of Red Ink. Already in the past you could use agents to do research in external data sources such as Lexi Search or OpenCaseLaw or use "Inky Autopilot", where Red Ink will process all kinds of tasks that you send via e-mail or voicemail. Now, the platform can handle complex agentic tasks using skills and subagents you define, e.g., for doing legal research, preparing responses based on playbooks, reviewing documents including contract reviews based on natural language review instructions. The agentic platform can use your favorite online data sources (#MCP/API), knowledge wikis you maintain with Red Ink, the web and Microsoft365. We note that already in the past, Red Ink was able to do large document reviews using deterministic code; now you can do this also using agents. Sometimes the former is the better choice, sometimes the latter. What is special with Red Ink? As opposed to most other AI solutions, with Red Ink, you keep full control over your data. No document must ever be stored with a provider. Still, you have full features like discussing document collections with AI, tabular overview or automatic document reviews (e.g., review of 100'000 emails). We have no access to your data at all, not even encrypted. You can use Red Ink with the models and model provider of your choice. Or even run your own inference endpoint, for example using onprem.ai. And even with a state-of-the-art AI API subscription of a large cloud provider such as Google or Microsoft, costs are in our experience half of what you have to pay for Copilot for Microsoft 365 or ChatGPT Business.
