ESSENCE Festival of Culture 2026… Day 1. 🤎✨ We started the day the only way we know how… with prayer. 🙏🏾 Before the doors opened, we prayed over our team, anointed our booth, and committed everything to God. Then it was time to get to work. Day 1 definitely came with a few unexpected twists, but one thing never changed—the love we received from everyone who made it to our booth. Seeing so many of you discover Omolewa, try our products, and leave smiling made it all worth it. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported us, and encouraged us throughout the day. HE DID IT AGAIN! 🙌🏾✨ By the grace of God, Omolewa Cosmetics is heading to the Essence Fest in New Orleans! 💛 Every year, by the time I thought about Essence, it was either too late to apply or I already had something else scheduled that weekend. Last year, my project manager and I put it on our calendar and said, “Next year, we’re applying.” Knowing how competitive the selection process is, being selected to be part of this year’s festival makes this opportunity even more special, and we’re incredibly grateful. The past few months of preparing for Essence have been full of planning, late nights, problem-solving, packing, designing, ordering, and checking off what feels like an endless to-do list. But through it all, God has been faithful every step of the way. I left corporate America to build Omolewa Cosmetics, and there were moments that felt impossible. I was 8 months pregnant, juggling life and business, and breaking into the African beauty market from the U.S. felt uncertain. Through faith and the support of my community, family, and loved ones, doors opened. We launched, we grew, and expanded into different countries. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it has always been purposeful. Every step required trust in God, in the process, and in the vision in my heart.
