  • The best instructional tools are backed by research. When we designed our newest assignment type, Read-Write-Reason™, we started with a pedagogy-first mindset. Every activity is engineered to embed best practices around engagement strategies like choice and decision-making, moving students away from binary, right-or-wrong thinking and driving deep cognitive engagement. Read-Write-Reason™ also guides students through low-stakes, scaffolded steps like: - Selecting texts - Sharing opinions - Engaging in self-reflection This helps them build agency and ultimately transform how they see themselves as writers. The best part? Read-Write-Reason™ activities seamlessly support daily instruction so teachers can weave them into class discussions, small groups, or peer work. Watch the recording of our live session, "Make Critical Thinking Visible: An Exclusive First Look at Read-Write-Reason™,” for an exclusive look at the pedagogical best practices powering our latest release. 🔗 Watch the recording here: https://bit.ly/4x7oUBw

  • Tomorrow! A space to pause, reflect, and move forward with intention alongside teacher peers. Join Dr. Paige Whitlock, Dr. Tanya Baker, and Dr. Serena Morales for a conversation grounded in real classroom experience, exploring how educators are: - Balancing personal AI use and classroom integration - Supporting higher-order thinking - Reframing AI as a “thinking partner” You’ll leave with a clear reflection on where you’re at in your journey, and get clear on how to make your next step with AI an intentional one. 📅 May 27 ⏰ 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET Last chance to register! https://bit.ly/49Ab7Jx

  • The shock of generative AI’s impact on how students learn in the classroom may have subsided, but the impact it will have on teaching practices is an ongoing process. The reality is, building an intentional relationship between our practices at the personal, school, or district level and AI isn’t one big move or decision—it’s a combination of reflection, collaboration, and experimentation over time. Join Dr. Paige Whitlock (NoRedInk), Dr. Tanya Baker (National Writing Project), and Dr. Serena Morales (Boise State University) on May 27 for a dynamic conversation with a panel of educators reflecting on how their relationship with AI is evolving in real classrooms, and how they’re balancing personal use, classroom integration, and human- and pedagogy-first approaches. Come ready to learn from peers, apply a reflection framework to your classroom or your district’s context, and take your next step on purpose. REGISTER HERE: https://bit.ly/49Ab7Jx
