As part of our series on the Nomura Well-Growing Institute (WGI), we’re highlighting activities that support disability inclusion, which relates to two of WGI’s priority areas: “Connection” and “Learning.” Nomura has signed a memorandum of understanding with OryLab Inc. to work together to promote disability inclusion. OryLab develops services that extend the opportunities available for people who have difficulty going out or getting around. This collaboration will bring together OryLab’s expertise in avatar robots and related technologies with Nomura’s experience in financial and economic education and disability inclusion. Together, we will work on initiatives that support learning, social participation, and employment opportunities for people with disabilities and their families. Nomura Greentech recently hosted its Sustainable Leaders Summit 2026 in Salzburg, Austria. Now in its 11th year, the event brought together dozens of C-suite executives from multiple geographies across sustainable technology and infrastructure sectors to debate the latest trends to decarbonize our core energy and industrial systems. A big thank you to our clients, keynote speakers and expert moderators for their engaging participation and thought-provoking discussions on topics such as mass adoption of BioMaterials, using AI to modernize public transport, and optimizing battery energy storage. Some of the main sessions included: - China’s Clean Industrial revolution and the implications for Europe and the US. - The European Renewables Market at a crossroad, which focused on the challenges of grid capacity and permitting to accelerate adoption. - Powering Sustainability in Data Centres, which analysed how to manage the massive power demand from AI. Clients also had the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular scenery of Salzberg’s lake Fuschl and its surrounding mountains during networking activities including hiking, mountain biking and paddle boarding.
