HEALTHY LIVING Improving the nation’s health and well-being In addition to over 100 free group exercise classes offered weekly at our Merrimack and Nashua facilities, the Y has specialized programs to help those struggling with healthy living. From the free 16-week Healthy Steps Program for adults to Prescribe the Y physical activity and nutrition sessions where children are referred by their pediatricians, the Y is here to help. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Giving back and providing support to our neighbors To bring about meaningful change, individuals need ongoing encouragement and tools. We are here day-in and day-out to make sure children, adults and seniors have what they need to achieve their best.

On World Drowning Prevention Day (July 25th), the YMCA of Greater Nashua will host our first Duck Race 🐤 in the Merrimack Y pool to promote the importance of water safety and raise funds that strengthen our mission. From now until 7/22, you can make a $10 donation to adopt a duck 🐤 to participate in the race here: https://lnkd.in/erw-FXQz By adopting a duck, you're helping the YMCA provide life-changing programs and services throughout our community - including initiatives that help children and families gain confidence and safety around water. Every adopted duck 🐤 will be assigned a number before the event. Then at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 25th, all adopted ducks will be placed in the Merrimack YMCA pool, where they'll race across the water, with a little help from some very large fans, while they duck n’ dodge obstacles to the finish line. Together, We Make a Difference 💙 Last Friday, members of our Women's Leadership Resource Network (WLRN) came together with one shared purpose: to give back to the place that gives so much to our community. Working side by side, the team spent the morning cleaning up the grounds around our YMCA branches, helping create a welcoming environment for the thousands of children, families, seniors, and community members we serve each day. ☕ ☕ Now THIS is DELICIOUSLY EXCITING! ☕ ☕ Starting this week - you may begin seeing our local Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck parked outside some of our branches 1 day each week for a couple hours in the morning! We're starting slow to see if there's enough interest, but we already have 2 days/times scheduled: ☕ Tuesday, July 14th: 8:30am - 10:30am at our Nashua Branch ☕ Monday, July 20th: 6am - 10am at our Merrimack Branch (next to the EEC entrance) If you haven't tried Travelin' Tom's before, not only do they have all your favorite hot and frozen lattes, they even have spiced chai, hot cider, lemonade, refreshers and more!
