May was a special month at Nexon America. We celebrated our 20th anniversary! We started off by recognizing Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month. Once again, our office rolled out our snack of the week initiative by spotlighting AAPI-owned snack brands. Employees sampled tasty treats from Gimme Seaweed, Pan's Mushroom Jerky, The Only Bean, and Dang Foods. It was a great way to observe Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month while taking time to connect with fellow Nexies. Next, we kicked off our 20th anniversary with a special happy hour. Former Nexon America leaders shared stories from the early days - memories, milestones, and the games that helped shape our journey. It was a meaningful moment of gratitude for the people who built our foundation and a reminder of how far we’ve come. To cap off the festivities, we opened our doors for a friends-and-family celebration, welcoming over 300 guests! It was an incredible day packed with great food, games, and activities—from ping pong, arcade games, and claw machines to gachapon, photo booths, live caricature, henna artists, and more. Guests explored our space, learned where our Nexies bring their magic to life, and received limited edition Nexon merch. Fuel for the fun came courtesy of Urban Espresso, Glazed & Confused, In-N-Out Burger, and the Viking Truck. What a feast! We celebrate our community, our history, and the memories still to come. March was a month of connection, appreciation, and a little friendly competition at Nexon America!   In honor of Women’s History Month, we spotlighted five women-owned snack companies—Evie's Snacks, Audrey's Chia Cookies, Effie's Homemade, Mama Chia, and Home Free. We also partnered with women-owned food trucks throughout the month, making it a meaningful (and delicious!) way to celebrate and support women entrepreneurs. We were excited to welcome Tropic Truck, Baby's Badass Burgers, Vchos, and Cafecita to our office. It was a great opportunity for our team to come together, enjoy some tasty treats, and learn more about the impact of Women’s History Month.   We also marked Employee Appreciation Day with our second “Beat the Boss” tournament. Team members went head-to-head with our leadership group in a spirited (and competitive!) showdown for bragging rights. The evening was fueled by great food and fun international snacks, then wrapped up with an exciting prize raffle.   All in all, March was a great reminder of what makes our workplace special—our people.   Looking to join the fun? February was a meaningful and eventful month at Nexon America! We began by recognizing Black History Month and honoring its 50th anniversary by highlighting and supporting four Black-owned businesses. Each week, employees were invited to sample tasty treats from a different vendor while learning more about the company’s story, mission, and impact. Our line up included Pip's Heirloom Snacks, Sip Herbals, Partake Foods and Every Body Eat®.   As part of our continued February celebrations, Nexon America hosted a sweet Valentine's Day Happy Hour! Employees enjoyed a Fooda Restaurant Popup featuring Bento Woman, watched romantic comedy movies and played trivia. Colleagues also shared appreciation by exchanging Valentine cards, helping foster connection and positivity throughout the office.   We closed out the month by celebrating another significant milestone: Nexon America was once again certified as a Great Place To Work, marking our sixth consecutive year to receive this recognition. It’s time to deck the halls and bring the cheer! After the success of our November Food Drive, we kept the momentum going in December by partnering with Toys for Tots once again! Nexies came together in friendly competition to out-give each other during our annual Toy Drive, donating an impressive collection of toys, games, and art supplies that would give Santa a run for his money - making 2025 our most successful Toy Drive yet!   To carry on making spirits bright, our whole office gathered for a merry evening during our Holiday Happy Hour filled with good food, great company, and a few fun traditions. We drank specialty Christmas cocktails from the Tap Truck while feasting on burgers from In-N-Out Burger. The event also featured a Holiday Sweater Competition, 2025 Nexie Superlatives, a White Elephant Gift Exchange, and a Prize Raffle that ended the night on a high note. It was a great way to celebrate the year before winding down during our Winter Closure. To get into the festive spirit, Nexon kicked off the holiday season with an amazing Food Drive with Food Pantry LAX. We put out the call to our Nexies for shelf stable food and home essentials to help meet the needs in our community, and they blew us out of the water this year!   We raised an amazing 1,000 lbs of food and home essential donations! This is our third year partnering with Food Pantry LAX, and we are excited to keep up our volunteer and donation initiatives in the future.   Building on that same sense of community, our office gathered for a Thanksgiving feast from Bite Catering Couture for the second year in a row. While enjoying the autumn chill, our employees had a warm meal and spent time enjoying each other’s company before leaving for the holiday break.   Interested in joining our team? This September, Nexon America had the amazing opportunity to stretch our muscles and team up for a good cause! Our Nexie volunteers, Game Changers, participated in fundraising for the American Heart Association, one of the leading non-profits in researching treatments and cures for heart disease and stroke.   We’re proud to share that Nexies helped raise over $10,000 in support of this cause! We celebrated by joining over 6,000 people in the 2025 Greater Los Angeles Heart & Stroke Walk at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on September 20. It's the time of the year for some fun in the sun! Nexon America celebrated our annual Summer Event by riding the waves with a Casino Cruise. It was great to get out of the office and unwind together with some friendly competition and a tasty buffet.   We sailed through the beautiful Marina Del Rey harbor while taking our chances with Lady Luck and hitting the gaming tables.
