We are a leading manufacturer of automated ultrasonic cutting and portioning machines, largely incorporating robotic handling solutions. Working principally in the food and associated industries, our industrial food equipment meets the growing demand for automated processing. Our product range covers the portioning requirements of the cheese, bakery, meat and sandwich industries, and includes standard machines as well as bespoke automation solutions, which we distribute to customers worldwide. To meet the demands of our customers in the area of robotics, we have joined forces with ABB, a world leader in robot technology, which means we are able to offer the optimum solution for robotic handling and cutting. We're thrilled to announce that Newtech has taken on an additional unit in Stoke Mill, marking the most significant expansion in our recent history. Over the past two years, our business has more than doubled in size. Our team has grown, demand for our ultrasonic cutting, robotics and automation solutions has accelerated, and we simply ran out of space. The new 10,000 sq ft factory will transform how we operate: ⚙️ Tripling our manufacturing capacity - the new building becomes our dedicated mechanical and electrical build space, meaning we can produce more systems for our customers, faster. ⚙️ A dedicated R&D area - our existing workshop becomes a focused software and development environment, enabling us to push further into advanced technologies and physical AI. ⚙️ A demo and virtual reality room - giving customers and prospects a hands-on experience of our solutions in action. ⚙️Room to grow - space for more talented people to join our team as we continue to scale. Powered by ABB robotic arms, the system manages 6,690 custom storage baskets across racking standing 8.7 metres high - processing an average of 85 tonnes of beef per month with pinpoint robotic precision. Processing 2,000 breasts per hour, cutting eight breasts simultaneously, the bespoke RoboSONIC Inline is raising the bar for cooked chicken portioning. With a 750mm wide ultrasonic cutting blade mounted to a robotic arm and a positively driven conveyor belt, it delivers the positional accuracy needed to hold a consistent 6mm cut across every breast, through every cycle. What ultrasonic cutting does particularly well on cooked poultry is preserve the integrity of the slice. Rather than pushing through the product, the blade's high-frequency vibration separates the muscle fibres cleanly, with minimal force. The result is a smooth cut face, good structural integrity and slices that hold their shape without compression or distortion. Not every production challenge has an off-the-shelf solution. This trial, features a robotic arm fitted with an hygienic finger gripper from Schmalz, engineered specifically to pick and place cupcakes from their moulds without compromising their shape, texture, or finish. Delicate product handling at this level requires custom thinking - from gripper geometry to pressure calibration - and what you're seeing here is that thinking in action.
