NEW DOCS is an independent distribution business based in Cologne/Germany. We are specialized in high-quality documentaries that have been produced for the international market. We offer a selected portfolio of feature length and TV documentaries - one-offs as much as series - from the fields of history, science, current affairs, human interest, culture, art, nature and travel. We consider ourselves as a long-term distribution partner for independent producers. The business relationships we have nurtured over the years give us a solid network of festival programers, program buyers, commissioning editors, DVD distributors and VOD platforms from around the world. We are regulars at the MIPs in Cannes, the Sunny Side of the Doc, DISCOP, Sheffield Doc Fest, WCSFP, IDFA, EFM and many more.

✨ World...and other premieres - we have some exciting news to share ✨ DOK.fest München will showcase three (!) of our films this year: THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD by Florian Heinzen-Ziob and Marc Bauder's WHISTLEBLOWER (see below for the trailer 👇 🎥 ) will celebrate their world premieres in Munich. And after its successful world-premiere at CPH:DOX in Denmark, WATCHING PEOPLE WATCHING BIRDS by Ulrike Franke & Michael Loeken will now have its German premiere at DOK.fest München. In Poland, Millennium Docs Against Gravity is hosting the international premiere for WHISTLEBLOWER, alongside with the Polish premiere for TORO by Rocco Di Mento. 👏 Congratulations to the filmmakers and the producers and a huge thank you to the programming teams for selecting our films! 📣 The new is out and we are proud to share that "Watching People Watching Birds", the feature documentary by Ulrike Franke and Michael Loeken will have its ✨ world premiere ✨ at CPH:DOX in the sections SCIENCE and SPECIAL PREMIERES on 15 March in Copenhagen. "Urgent and serious, yet humorous, this film follows people who are passionate about birdwatching. Through their eyes and ears, we enter the world of birds – a world that becomes a striking metaphor for the state of our planet." 👏 Congratulations to the film team and many thanks to CPH:DOX' team for this selection!
