Starting the month on a positive note, NeoDocs (YC S21) has wrapped up the HDFC Bank Parivartan project at IITM HTIC MedTech Incubator! The brief we gave ourselves was unglamorous but important, making our #uACR test kit cheaper to produce. We used the Parivartan grant to streamline manufacturing, reduce costs, and prepare to scale. I keep coming back to why this matters: the cheaper a test gets, the more people who'd otherwise skip it get to catch a problem early. That's the whole point. Grateful to HDFC Bank Parivartan and IITM HTIC for the support, and to Anurag Meena and Pratik Lodha for being the best people to build this with. Grateful to share that NeoDocs (YC S21) has successfully completed the HDFC Bank Parivartan Project at the IITM HTIC MedTech Incubator! 🙏 When we set out, the goal was simple but stubborn: make lab-grade testing genuinely affordable. With the support of the Parivartan Startup Grant, we focused that funding on our #uACR test kit, reworking the manufacturing process to bring down production costs without compromising accuracy. A affordable kit isn't just a business win. uACR is one of the earliest signals of kidney disease, and every rupee we take out of the cost is one less barrier between a person and an early diagnosis. What started in 2022 with a simple question, “How can we make point-of-care testing truly accessible and affordable?” has now been recognized through patents in two countries. This journey didn’t begin with a product. It began with a problem. Testing today is still slow, lab-dependent, and not easily accessible to everyone. We set out to change that by bringing lab-grade testing closer to people faster and more affordably through smartphones. Today, these patents validate that effort. In #healthcare, a patent is more than a document. It represents novel science, original thinking, and most importantly, trust.
