Changing Faces, Transforming Lives

About us

myFace is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the faces - and transforming the lives - of children and adults with facial differences. For 70 years, myFace has focused on providing access to holistic comprehensive care, education, resources and support that pave the way for better outcomes for those impacted by craniofacial conditions. myFace provides this holistic approach through the wide range of programs we fund, including support of the world-renowned myFace Center for Craniofacial Care at NYU Langone Health in New York City which serves as the gold standard for craniofacial care. myFace also provides other vital services, such as access to individual and family support groups, topic-driven workshops, informational webinars, and networking opportunities. In addition, myFace is committed to raising critical public awareness about craniofacial differences, and helps to educate others on the importance of celebrating uniqueness and always choosing to be kind. myFace provides travel assistance and housing for out-of-town families to decrease the burden and expense of travel so that families can focus on getting the care their loved ones need. myFace aims to provide individuals and families with the care, tools and information they need to successfully navigate their journey and live their best life possible.

  • Our partnership with JCC Chicago continued this summer with another meaningful workshop at two Apachi Chicago Day Camps! Over four days, we connected with 160 campers across both camps to explore inner confidence, celebrate what makes each of us unique, and choose kindness every day. This year’s Growing Hope theme at the J is “chutzpah,” a reclaimed Yiddish term that inspires resilience, courage, and the confidence to embrace what makes each of us unique. We were honored to be part of helping bring that message to life.

  • On July 11, nearly 60 myFace community members, families, friends, and partners gathered at the You Are Beautiful Headquarters in Chicago for our second annual myFace is Beautiful event. The gallery showcased 120 “myFace is Beautiful” art boards created by participants from 19 states, celebrating the beauty of every face and the power of belonging. Guests enjoyed food, mocktails, and an interactive portrait workshop led by myFace community member and artist Celina LeRoy, creating space for creativity, connection, and self-expression. Throughout the evening, families connected over shared experiences, new friendships were formed, and meaningful conversations opened the door to future partnerships. It was a powerful reminder that when people come together in community, everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered. Thank you to You Are Beautiful, JCC Chicago, our partners, and everyone who made this special evening possible. We can’t wait to do it again next year.

  • This Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness Month, myFace Chicago's Rena Rosen joined Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago’s Skylight TV as a special guest cohost, bringing smiles, connection, and awareness to children and families throughout the hospital. The show was broadcast live from the Panda Center, where Rena teamed up with host Kevin for a lively game of Body Parts Bingo while sharing information about myFace, our partnership with Lurie Children's, our upcoming family picnic, and fun facts about craniofacial differences throughout the hour. Children and families played together both in the Panda Center and from their hospital rooms, with winners calling in to claim prizes delivered right to their bedside. It was a joyful hour filled with laughter, friendly competition, and meaningful moments for patients, siblings, and caregivers alike.
