Predicate powers automated compliance for MetaMask USD (mUSD): The stablecoin built directly into the MetaMask wallet. Stablecoin adoption is surging, but stablecoin compliance enforcement is still mostly manual: Issuers have to find high-risk addresses themselves or wait for government alerts, and then pull in engineering to block them via smart contract update. We worked with Consensys to implement a different approach. Predicate codifies Consensys’ definition of risk into a real-time policy integrated with the mUSD token smart contract. Predicate monitors 24/7 for addresses that violate the policy and automatically adds them to the stablecoin’s blocklist as soon as they’re identified, cutting overhead and allowing mUSD to restrict high-risk addresses more accurately and proactively. Robust, real-time compliance is becoming the standard for onchain finance. Predicate allows Consensys to achieve that standard and position mUSD for long-term growth and institutional adoption.
