    Last week, our AI property agent uncovered the decision-makers behind over 10,000 properties and added them straight into brokers’ databases. To put that in perspective, if a human were to manually research each one, digging through county records, finding owners and mailing addresses, pulling SOS filings, extracting officers, identifying the right contact, verifying emails, and loading it all into a CRM, it would take around 8 minutes per property (and that’s if they’re fast). What used to take 8 minutes now happens in seconds, and at massive scale. That’s 1,333 hours, or 33 full work weeks, of tedious, manual work… done by AI in just a few days, with human-level accuracy.     A client had a list of 1,000+ companies attending a conference. They wanted the best real estate contact at each one, by tomorrow. My goal: find the right real estate contact at each company. Naturally, I tried enrichment tools like Apollo and ZoomInfo. The results? ❌ More than 50% of the list came back empty. That’s when I realized something important: What looks like enrichment is often research in disguise. Enrichment ≠ Research 🔹 Enrichment = Data Lookups Pulls from one static source. Adds broad attributes (industry, revenue, headcount). Great for segmentation, filtering, and painting a general picture. But it doesn’t reason. It doesn’t ask, “Who’s the person I should actually talk to here?" 🔹 Research = Applied Judgment Works like a human would. Gathers signals from multiple sources (Google, LinkedIn, company sites, Apollo, Hunter, Icypeas, TruePeopleSearch…). Cross-checks and validates, instead of assuming one dataset is “the truth.” Makes judgment calls: Small company → CEO or founder is the right contact. Large company → Head of Real Estate or Facilities. If you did this manually, it’d take 5–7 minutes per row... 80–120 hours for 1,000 companies. Painstaking but accurate. So I built an AI researcher: It searches like a human. Synthesizes across multiple sources. Leverages context and makes decisions enrichment can’t. The result? Enrichment gave me facts about companies(sometimes). Research gave me the people who matter inside them. 👉 Takeaway: Enrichment fills in blanks. Research connects the dots. Enrichment makes data look complete and informs research. Research makes data actionable. One is about breadth. The other is about judgment.
