UK Market View Q2 2026 is now live 📊 New analysis from Mace Consult highlights a construction market facing a challenging mix of rising material costs, political uncertainty and subdued activity. While output and new orders continue to soften, inflationary pressures are beginning to re-emerge across the supply chain. Material prices are now rising at their fastest rate in three years, driven by geopolitical disruption and the introduction of new steel tariff and quota rules. At the same time, increased competition for work is creating pressure on tender pricing and raising concerns around insolvency risk across the sector. Despite these headwinds, long-term infrastructure demand and recent public investment commitments continue to provide opportunities for growth, making informed commercial decision-making more important than ever. In the report, Ceri Evans, Global Director of Cost and Commercial Management, highlights the importance of early engagement, transparent supply chain dialogue and robust commercial controls to help clients navigate an increasingly complex market. 👉 You can explore the full analysis and our latest forecasts here: https://lnkd.in/eFt6ay74 #MaceConsult #MaceUK #MarketView James Donald

How do you stop a multi-floor workplace from feeling fragmented? 🏢⬆️ Mace Construct delivered a workplace space across multiple upper floors of a live commercial building for a premium office fit out in central London. As organisations rethink the role of the office, creating meaningful connections between teams, spaces and ways of working is becoming just as important as the design itself. Five feature staircases, collaborative spaces, client-facing areas and wellbeing facilities were brought together to create this connected workplace experience. Delivering at height added another layer of complexity. Existing floor structures were strengthened to accommodate a new gym, while careful planning and coordination helped maintain programme momentum within an occupied building. The result is a workplace that supports different ways of working while making the most of a vertical environment. 👉 Read the full project profile: https://lnkd.in/eMxwKxYy 🔗 💭 And comment what you think is the most important when creating a connected workplace across multiple floors. Is it the design itself, movement between spaces, occupier needs, or something else? #MaceConstruct #Commercial #Fitout
